The only name I'm familiar with is Neda Ukraden. Wasn't she from
Bosnia & Herzegovina (which ofc isn't participating itself) tho?
Her connections are a bit messy.
She was originally born in
Croatia, but grew up in
Bosnia & Herzegovina, but later moved to
Serbia when the war broke out in 1992.
Her father is also a
Serb coming from
Croatia, which makes things even more complicated.
Even when checking her wikipedia pages, you'll see a lot of contradicting statements.
English wikipedia states that she's a
Serbian pop singer (born Croatia, grew up Bosnia, living Serbia, yada yada),
The Bosnian wikipedia, however, states that she's a
Bosnian singer (with some side info stating that she's a Serbian singer),
Croatian wikipedia states that she is a
Croatian singer (with the info of her relation to the three other countries),
while the Serbian wikipedia states that she is a
Serbian singer
from Croatia.
You'll probably get different answers based on who you're asking as well.
My family, who are all
Bosnians, have said that they see her as
Serbian, mostly due to her moving to
Serbia when the war happened,
and while idk what the Croatians or Serbians would say, I could probably see different answers from them as well.
EXTRA: I tried searching more about her parents, and there's apparently a site which states that her parents are originally from
Montenegro, great
Either way, her background is a mess. I'd probably give her the Serbian/Bosnian status, but not even I am sure if that is 100% correct about her
