The country can now confirm that they will take part in the upcoming edition of the Northvision Song Contest. No further indication upon the selection method was announced, although internal rumours hint that a national selection might be held in soon time.

Armenian entry revealed

ArmeniaTV is proud to present the winner of NorthYergy #4 and the next song to represent Armenia in NorthVision Song Contest.

We will be represented by Lidushik who will sing "Yes U Du". It is the first Armenian language song under the new delegation.

Important press release!

San Marino RTV has released an important statement:

They were very hard and very long days, these just passed for the whole San Marino team.

The ironic joke (about PQR) released by the Head of Delegation a few days ago in an interview was reported in all the various European newspapers.

It is clear that with that words he did not want to offend any country or person, it was a simple joke like many others.

Perhaps Italian irony is not understood or it is mistaken for wickedness or rudeness, the HoD in first person further extends his apologies, because he did not believe to create all this chaos around the competition, but declares to be responsible for the words spoken and not about what other media understand.

It was all a misunderstanding, it didn't want to be rudeness or personal attack, because during all the editions in any country our collaborators (including the HoD) always exchanged ideas, jokes and admiration towards all the other competing countries.
We are deeply embittered and astonished, the small country has also thought about withdrawing from the competition, but we have invested a lot in this project and it was fantastic the last result, and thanks to it we are automatically in the final.
We have thought a lot and San Marino will remain in competition, for several reasons:

1. The country has earned an important place in the final thanks to the result of the last edition;

2. The country should pay a very important fine if it withdraws from the edition #29
and honestly we prefer to spend our money to participate in the competition and to introduce our artists rather than spend our money to pay a fine;

3. The country and all the people who work for it strongly believe in the competition and the seriousness of all the other members;

4. The country has already chosen the artist and hopes that all this chaos will not turn against the singer who will represent San Marino and will be announced later, because this would really be an injustice both for our investment of money and for the artist who will go on stage to work and to realize his/her dream.

We offer our apologies further to all the countries in the NVSC if they have felt hurt by our words and we hope for a new beginning, from now to the next editions San Marino will limit itself to confirming or withdrawing the participation, sending suggestions and voting, presenting the entries and comment on the final results,
so as not to create other problems or bad speculation on our behalf.

CyBc can now announce that the Cypriot entry for the 29th edition got internally selected. The 30 year old singer from Paphos Alex Economou will get the chance to sing for his homeland in the PQR hoping to reach the semifinals. The song he will perform is "Dance With Me". The broadcaster is hoping for the best possible result and wishes good luck to Alex.
