At first I thought that results were going to be tomorrow but unfortunately I still wouldn’t be able to watch them live due to bad WiFi here in Greece. Anyway it took me a long time to watch the results and since the beginning I was really motivated to skip because I was barely getting any points, but then the part 2 came and I just couldn’t believe my eyes. I just want to say THANK YOU for all the points and I am really surprised by the amount which I received. I didn’t really expect to win, I hoped for a top 6 placement but winning NVSC is something really unbelievable for me, and I thought i’d never be close to do it after I almost did with Algeria some editions ago. At the moment I am still speechless and I am just writing it to show my current emotion as I guess later it won’t be the same. Guys I am so grateful that you gave me this opportunity and first of all I want to thank Jan for showing me this song, and for making me add it in my NS in the last moment. I knew about it but I wasn’t aware the video was released and it was a good timing for sending it as it started to become overused. Secondly, thanks to everyone who supported Lyra and gave Ireland the chance to win, I hope there will be a great show there. And last but not least thanks to NBU for all the work and for the excitement you provided, I was literally dying especially at the end of part 2 and during the televoting. I’ll post reaction about the other countries tomorrow because I have to wake up early and I am still over excited. See you in  Ireland ❤️ |

Thank you so much for 19th When you expect to end up in PQR and then somehow end up escaping the bottom 5 in the final with a super edgy song you feel like you've did the best you can

   I mean I expected y’all to be bad but you’re still extremely robbed    Absoultuely underrated as well  a banger that was really robbed, I don’t know where all the voters where, easily the best pop/dance-song in this mold  another absolute robbery, after it did well in the juries I was really hopeful but the TV point a are a disgrace (sadly though realistic). This was the most beautiful song this edition (maybe even in all of nvsc) and I’m really proud to have given this 22 points.  finally a great song that did well. As for my other favorites I didn’t expect anything for this, so I’m really glad it did well against all odds (and the haters in cytube). To name some overrated countries:  ,  ,  Still I see it positively and am happy for the countries to do well after some disappointments (2 of these went through the PQR) and did, to me, surprisingly well (Israel is still really, really bad)  that song ranks more in the meh scale for me, nevertheless I’m happy about Tunisia’s successful comeback and Jens’ great debut  I blame Vuka for the bad televoting score (jk). I still love this song after months and I’m just so extremely happy that Leon is starting to do well in Contests, imo she’s really underappreciated here  I expected this to do well but not that well. Still really great song, it grew a lot on me after voting, and it’s astonishing to see how well Andorra does as micro nation  lol this is Aurora’s worst song by far, but hey I love her so I won’t complain the memes went too far! Still a great song and amazing position for a country such as Monte after years of disappointment, congrats Alex!  what a bop, totally deserved this place. This edition really is the revenge of the borrowing countries now that the NBU tries to get rid of them lol expected winner and also a good one imo, even though I got tired of the song meanwhile. The amount of points is something else though and if we look at that it’s still a bit overrated to me. Nevertheless: congrats! Also after complaining about the design on every possible occasion I have to say that the scoreboard looked really good. Still can’t unsee “semifin alone” in the NQ placement video tho. |

13th! Kind of where I expected myself to end up around so thanks a lot to everyone who voted for Mergui (although the comments here are rather negative ones I guess) especially the 3 (or 4?) I received in total. Guess that'll also be my last left side-result in a while.  An expected winner actually. It's a good song not gonna lie, but in terms of that gap and the points it received it's a bit overrated. Congrats for the win. Expected, but overrated imo and I'm very surprised seeing them up there because for me they weren't even going to the top 15.  Also congrats to for its first top 10 and and after all having participated in the PQR. Generally speaking this edition has mostly good results and not that much to disagree with (respectively I'm too tired to think about that after midnight). |
