HOW WILL EMA FREŠ WORK?
First Round
Starting on the 4th of November, there will be three duels from Monday to Wednesday for three weeks.
The three winners from the three duels will then face-off in a final battle on the Friday of the same week.
Two out of the three acts will qualify, one based on popular vote, and one based on the expert juries pick.
Second Round
As six acts qualify, 12 are left standing.
These 12 will go through the same procedure as the first round: three duels between Monday to Wednesday, for two weeks.
The three winners from the three duels will then face-off in a final battle on the Friday of the same week.

Final Round
Six act qualified from the first round, and four qualified from the second. In the end, 10 acts are left to battle for the two EMA 2020 slots.
Two acts will qualify to compete in the 2020 EMA edition, one based on popular vote, and one based on the expert jury.
These two acts will join eight other acts who will try to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

 A LIST OF RUMOURED ACTS FOR EMA 2020 Gaja Prestor - has confirmed she is working on her potential entry for EMA BQL - had a songwriting camp in japan with their producer raay. if they do apply I think they would be a serious contender for the crown, considering the change in the EMA format last year Lea Sirk - has stated that she would love to return to the eurovision stage as a soloist or as a backing singer  Lina Kuduzović - represented slovenia in junior eurovision 2015, coming 3rd and giving slovenia one of their best results at an esc event. is confirmed to be working with producer flo for her EMA entry. |
