tbf, while I was never a big fan of Auryn's materials, Blas atleast had "Él no soy yo" which I actually enjoyed, and was lowkey hoping he'd have something along the line of that song.
To say the least, "Universo" was... not that. The song definitely caught me by surprise, but that did not last very long, the more I gave it more listens.
The verses aren't my cup of tea, really. I do enjoy Blas' voice, and the "oooh- choir" in the background gets some extra points, but the beat and melody is rather generic in general.
The chorus, while it did catch me during the first one, kind of got boring during the rest of the song, and they also sound a bit too weak to fully give me an impact.
I really don't like the "Uni- Universo" parts, but I also always return to that part of the song when singing it, so at least it has a rememberable hook to it.
Blas definitely has the vocals to perform this, and the high note during the third chorus is fairly impressive (out of context, that is), but imo, it doesn't give the song the biggest boost. It's just... there.
Either way, I don't dislike this at all, but as mentioned, it does not leave an impact on me. It's a pop song. That's about it.
THEIR CHANCES: Something in me tells me that, if Spain puts enough efforts in this, they could be aiming for a bottom-left hand side/top-right hand side,
but I'm afraid Spain might end up in the bottom-right hand side, as the song may not have enough to gather the attention from the rest of the songs competing
(this being said before we even know all songs, so fuck if I'm right).
imo, It's quite a step down from last years "La venda", but nonetheless, I wish both Spain and Blas the very best of luck in Rotterdam o/ |

 Nothing outstanding, nothing really new and can be messy at times. Typical Spanish esc entry since 2016 that doesn't do anything in the contest sadly but eh I don't hate it as of now but could actually decrease later depending on the next entries released. down to  ugh this really turned annoying |
