i didn't know he is Canadian Well, this is pretty obvious that the most decent african singers are from diaspora, because they don’t know how to produce a lot of good music in the Arab countries (in most of the cases). I enjoy the Arab music despite it being cheap and lack of production but still, countries like Algeria, Morocco or Tunisia can do well mainly with international singers. oh ok

I agree about the cheapness but they are not supported by governments or other big companies like other countries. But disagree about that most decent singers come from diaspora. The biggest and most influential singers are just traditional singers. Lebanon and Egypt have strong music industry that was also in history more countries are improving through years. I disagree because music is a matter of taste and culture. That's not the same around the whole world.
