This result was a bit suprising. But the atrocious results of OGAN #29 gave us an explanation: unfortunately, this kind of songs is appreciated by a very tiny audience among the NVSC fans.

This is a surprise here in Latvia. Bookmakers considered that she was among the favourites. At least she managed to gather from two juries.

We are very happy about this result. Tautumeitas were under active "monitoring" since a long time by the members of the Latvian delegation - even before they arrived in the country - but unfortunately their songs were taken from the Latvian folklore and were technically considered as "covers". Aminata was also one of the rare Latvian singers who reached the final of NVSC. And the association between these talented artists was very interesting.

Even if the competition with the runner-up was tough, Dana Sokolova managed to build a slight victory upon points received from almost every delegation (RoTW and 17 out of 18 HoD/Co-HoD). Curiously Dana never represented Latvia before to NVSC or participated to the Latvian selection. So for the second time in the history of NVSC, the Latvian entry will be in Russian language. We wish good luck to our representative!
