Finland I decided to send one of my dearest christmas songs from childhood with which i grew up There are so many so this was no easy choice at all That is mainly the reason why i chose this and i cannot really sum it up any better And as the name roughly translates "On christmas i can be a child again" i think it also tells a lot Timeslot for this one would be around 2:32+

Host Entry Revealed! Cyprus will be represented by the wonderful soprano Aliki, with a cover of Sam Smith's song, "Have yourself a merry little Christmas". I chose this song because I think it's very beautiful, really gets me in the Christmas mood and Aliki's angelic voice is just perfect for this edition, in my opinion. Hope you like it as much as I do! Also, a few words about the place this edition is held...Troodos is actually the highest mountain range in Cyprus. Its name, written in Greek as Τρόοδος, is not random at all. It comes from the words τρία = three and οδός = street/road. The name was not randomly given to the region, as this mountain range includes villages from all 3 districts of Limassol, Nicosia and Paphos. The reason why I chose Troodos is because I believe that most of you have got the impression that Cyprus, as an island, only has nice beaches and a sunny weather all the time. Although the latter part is pretty much true (it's mostly sunny), we also have this mountain which might not of course compare to the Alps or other high mountain ranges, but it's still a place where it actually snows (yes, it does snow in Cyprus ) and a snow design for this winter edition couldn't be more ideal. Hopefully you get to discover this other side of the country which is also very beautiful!

Can I Take Philippines We first need to see if the current Filipino player in the main contest is interested in taking part as he has expressed interest in the past and he has priority in this case. In case he isn't interested in taking part this edition, you may join.

Latvia I could've taken any Christmas song that has nothing to do with our traditions (For example, I know you would've loved to see Lauris Reiniks ), but I chose not to, because there will be plenty in this edition anyway. As You may have already heard, latvians (and Balts in general) still are very much pagans, so my song choice is gonna be related to that. It's a song about Christmas, but about how people celebrated Christmas back in the day. Part of it was Winter Carnival (usually it takes place from around mid-November til February 6th, but it's peak is in Christmas). It's pretty much a specified mask carnival (see in the video in spoiler). Video about Winter Carnival in Latvia: Best part is around 1:00 minute mark
Who better to sing such songs, if not Tautumeitas. They already took part in WWWSC with Summer Solstice song, now it's turn for Winter Solstice. Tautumeitas - "Čigāns Saka Čigānam" (2:27 onwards, please!) PIC: mimisthesc you can either use the pic from WWWSC or use this one:

mimisthesc your entry is not Sam Smith's song (only his version of the original), because the original song comes from 1943.

I don't think we have any festive songs other than the Christmas ones, so Hungary is sending a Christmas song. These two are a couple and are singing a love song for Christmas. The guy also plays the accordion which fits the Christmas theme surprisingly well. Artists: Andi Tóth & Ádám Szabó Song: Te lettél Picture
Time slot: from 2:36
