I decided to redeem the pride week because I feel like it is the challenge that I could improve the most. If I look at what I could've sent (e.g. this entry) and what I did actually send, I don't feel like I did my best at all. Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself just adds to my wish of redeeming that challenge.
This song is by Antony and the Johnsons, whose lead singer is the artist nowadays known as Anohni. Antony and the Johnson's was Anohni's project before she transitioned, as she is a member of the trans community. "Hope There's Someone" is from their 2005 album "I Am A Bird Now" and I chose it because I find it to be really emotional and beautiful and it feels like a huge step-up from my S6 pride entry.

The song starts off with a simple, fast drumbeat but builds up over the course of four minutes into a controlled explosion of sound. Like a car chase in an action movie, "Muanapoto" is exhilarating as it is unexpected — you're not sure where the beat will take you next, but you already know you want to be along for the ride. TSHEGUE themselves say that ‘Muanapoto’ speaks for African immigrants in Europe who upon arrival are forced to deal with the unknown, surrounded by new customs, foreign languages, different food and climate, all of which can lead to feelings of alienation.
In my original season, the judges told me they didn't think my song was 'African' enough in comparison to the other queens' submissions that week, and this was the main thing I wanted to redeem. "Muanapoto" is undeniably 'African' and it's a banger, and I hope I can use those things to stand out in a particularly difficult challenge. |

Out of my logical challenge choices for redemption, I decided to opt for "Artificial Intelligence" because unlike "Pull My Strings", this one was a challenge where I actually bottomed (and I received no critiques), so I would like to test myself on it, once again.
I chose "Shake It" by Charli XCX (includes verses from Big Freedia, CupcakKe, Brooke Candy, Pabllo Vittar) for my song this week, as I think it perfectly fits to my theme.
"Shake It" is probably the most experimental and futuristic song on Charli's entire discography, it's an experience from the beginning to the end that everyone should hear and I just couldn't resist sending it as my redemption.

The team challenge where I had to present black was my 2nd worst result in Season 6, after the ball. I didn't see a lot of potential in redemption for the guilty pleasure challenge, nor the antique realness challenge, therefore I'm choosing black for my redemption.
There's endless symbolism behind the colour black and while not all of it is negative, for my redeption I'm opting to interpret the colour in a more negative light.

"Wandering Star" deals with themes of grief, depression, death and overall gloom. Due to not having any low or bottom placement in my original season, I see this week as a real challenge for me as I need to improve in a week I already survived as "safe". However, I decided to redeem myself from the "Newcomer" challenge, where some people believe I should have done worse than I actually did.
Therefore, my challenge this week was searching for a song with less than 10.000 but I added myself the challenge to find one with a fancy videoclip as well as a good instrumental, as if it was worth of thousands of views! And I came across this american singer called MOONZz who checks all the boxes!

 REDEMPTION REALNESS Glee Cast ft. Sarah Jessica Parker - Let's Have a Kiki REDEMPTION FOR "IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO" (S3W3) Studio Version Performance Please skip 1:21 to 1:56 for it's a different song! Timeslot: 1:56+ Back in Season 3, which was my first time competing in the competition, I had multiple disadvantages that led to my elimination. First off, I insisted of sending relatively original songs even when I should've stepped out of my shell. When it was time to get the attention of the judges, I stood in the background. This is sadly what I was never able to do right: stand out from the mass, as the judges pointed out. Additionally, I also let myself be swayed so much from the opinion of others so much so that it led to my low placement. Here, I'm redeeming my first bottom in a challenge where we should've sent a song that makes us want to dance. In this pair challenge, I was coupled with Rigga Morris ( MaRtIn ) and while we both had a say in what we ended up sending (and it's a real bop tbh), it was one of his songs that landed us there, mainly because I was in my head all the time and didn't present doable choices.
