Congratulations to the wiener of this edition. Loved the tension in the end. Maybe Malta screwed themselves over with the 12 tele vote points?
We will never know but either ways I love this top 2.

Regardless of the Latvian results, I didn't expect to have in NVSC the less enjoyable semi-final I have been involved since I joined the forum. This is the first time I had to vote in a semi-final where there were only two songs that I wanted to see in the final. So and had the points they deserved then I struggled finding a way to give the other points like I never did before. Several people had hard comments about my song (and by the way, if one day I want to send a song from 2012 I'll do it okayyyyy?) but I think that many other songs in competition deserved it much more. I don't want to blame one country in particular but I'll made this general comment.

I have the very bad feeling that many HoDs just look for the weirdest UFO they can find in their country and send it, without taking into account the quality of the song and of the interpretation - which are OBVIOUSLY my main criterias when I make a selection. And that this type of songs is artificially overhyped and steal places deservebd by great but not so conceptual songs. Seeing absolute queen Tamara Todevska sent to PQR with a tremendous song is just a shame for example. It seems completely unreal and I'm clearly not solidary with this kind of choice. This is clearly a song I could have sent myself - I almost made it by the way, it was in the final 3 of a selection of 43 songs I made for the country.

During this edition, I accepted the idea that the pleasure I could take participating in NVSC would end when betting odds of the edition begin. Now I just hope I can find soon a country where I can have fun making national selections. That won't be Latvia, this is not a country where I ordinary search songs, and I prefer using my time on countries I enjoy more (Italy of course, and some others). And by the way, I don't see why I should waste time on research (and neglect my main countries) and making national selections if the reward is to see the winning song completely massacred in the betting odds at a point I knew I was going to PQR even before the edition started (believe me, if I could choose, I would N-E-V-E-R participate to betting odds).

That was a long comment but this is also probably the last of this kind you'll see from me in a while. Congratulations anyway to - at least one of my favourites won.
