I don't think living 4 years in Bahrain relates to "spent many years of his childhood in Bahrain" lol

VANUATUAN ENTRY
The HoD of Vanuatu made an announcement where he revealed the next Vanuatuan entry.
''As a small island nation, what we have accomplished so far in the contest is incredible. That's because of our talented artists who we appreciate for having such a big responsiblity and also our friends in other countries who have supported us in this journey. Due to our low budget and high transportation costs to Uzbekistan, we decided not to take part last edition but this edition we are in it to win it. We are ready to crown our two amazing qualifications in a row with a victory. Therefore, we've chosen an act which we fully trust in. Lexar Beatdown makes great music and they're very willing to represent our nation. We believe in their motivation.
The song that will represent Vanuatu in the 24th edition is called ''Van's Production'' and in this song we decided to take another direction compared to our previous songs. It has more electronic elements and it is a club banger. Hopefully, Asia will get our message and carry us to the finals once again. We're very looking forward to taking the stage in South Korea. See ya!''

WE MADE THE REVENGE. WHAT'S NEXT? New Delhi, India, 2020.07.08
Following the 3rd place achieved in the last edition which was brought by Celina Sharma, Indian National Broadcaster is now capable to confirm that India will participate in the Own Asiavision Song Contest 24, held in South Korea! After many talks in the delegation, it was decided to send something different from the past entries due to the fact that the country has already secured a grand final spot.
For the twenty-fourth edition of the contest, India decided to bring the fans of the Asian contest not only the recap part of 25 seconds which would be either loved or hated among the participants, but also The Experience of listening a tasteful, original, aesthetic, magical, nearly 5 minutes length piece of art. That's why India is putting a "Spell" on all of you this edition.
The song will be sung by the American-Indian artist Monica Dogra. She will feature Indian electronic musician Curtain Blue and bring this awesome musical piece to the lands of South Korea.
Words have been said, but I think it's about time to listen? Monica Dogra & Curtain Blue - Spell

ASSALA WILL REPRESENT BAHRAIN!
Manama, 10 July 2020 - On 7 July 2020, BRTC announced that James Arthur and Rudimental had won A Song For Two Seas and that they would have been the kingdom's next representatives. However, the following day, the OABU Council informed the broadcaster that their entry had been rejected for not having enough connections to Bahrain. The OABU also apologized to the broadcaster because the eligibility of our contestants hadn't been checked before they could take part in A Song For Two Seas.
BRTC would like to apologize in turn for the accident. Today we are ready to reveal the talented singer who will try to escape the Quarter-final for Bahrain. She is...
ASSALA NASRI • FI ORBAK (في قربك) Eighth Official Bahraini entry at Own Asiavision Song Contest
Assala Nasri (أصالة نصري) is a Syrian singer-songwriter with Bahraini citizenship. She was born in Damascus. Her positions towards the Syrian Civil War have always been humanitarian and peaceful, as all she wants is for Syrian civilians to come back to a good and normal life. A few days after she performed in the operetta Love and Loyalty during the celebrations for the anniversary of the Independence of Bahrain, our king granted her Bahraini citizenship, thus she is both a Syrian and a Bahraini citizen. On 7 July 2020, she participated in the inaugural edition of A Song For Two Seas, where she came 2nd with just 1 point ahead of the winners. However, on 10 July 2020, BRTC announced that the OABU had rejected their previous entry and that she would have represented Bahrain instead.

CONFIRMATIONS HAVE CLOSED! The deadline for confirmation has officially passed. Tonga was the only country without any information given and their delegation will receive 15% warning.
A record number of 53 countries confirmed their participation, something that never happened in the contest before. Therefore, due to such circumstances, in premiere, a quarter-final will be introduced. Some of you might be familiar with the concept of a quarter-final, but for the ones who never heard about it, it will be a sort of "pre-qualification" round, in order to decide which countries will get eliminated before the semi-finals begin. This will allow having a fair amount of semi-final participants. The nations which will compete in the quarter-final will be the bottom 5 from each semi-final of the previous edition (meaning that, unfortunately, the following countries will have to go through it: ). From the quarter-final, FIVE countries will advance to the semi-finals, while the other 5 will get eliminated, meaning that each semi-final will have 21 countries.
More news will follow in due time.
