Good song, but for a first listening there's something a bit flat idk. However it's together with I love you the only song that stands a chance imo. Hope it won't get considered as a copy of  Viszlát nyár ... |

She can definitely sing. The song itself is quite alright as well imo. However especially the first part is really boring, but when there's some power incoming it's changing (at least a bit). Now that we have all te songs, I guess this is my top 7: 1. Blind Channel 2. Oskar 3. Teflon Brothers & Pandora 4. Aksel 5. Ilta 6. Laura 7. Danny This list is to be taken with a pinch of salt however, because I have listened to all of them only once (on purpose).And as for myself I wouldn't mind any of the top 4 winning. Also I'm sorry, but if Laura doesn't win once again can she please finally learn that we really don't want her?

Wow  Finland! You truly gave me a rollercoaster of emotions. First two revealed songs are amazing, then you went a bit downhill with later ups and downs, almost ended up with a BANG. Here is my top 7 of this year's UMK: 7. Laura - It's a dissapointment. From great songs like Supersonic and Verona... we have this. I mean.. Laura had to be somewhere, if not in  Estonia then in Finland, I suppose. I have an urgent need to just skip this song.. sorry. (2/10) 6. Danny - I like the idea of "the last will in a song". Finnish language gives it a tad mysterious and nostalgic feeling. Still tho, it's boring and just like usual older acts in Melodifestivalen it would just dissapear in the crowd. (5/10) 5. Ilta - She kinda reminds me of Saszan from  Poland's Krajowe Eliminacje in 2018. It's a very correct pop song... but that's it. Nice voice, nice music.. everything is nice but other than that there is nothing to be excited about. (5/10) 4. Aksel - It was a surprise that he appeared! His song is great! I really like its pacing, melody and his voice... HIS VOICE! Why there are so many great contenders?! (8,5/10) 3. Oskr - What a way to start revealing your selection's songs! Oskr's song gave me hope that Finland would finally come back to the final with a high position (sorry, Saara). The only thing that it lacks to have 10/10 is that it is really similar to Aksel's song in 2020. Maybe it is time for a change? And on that note... (9/10) 1/2. Blind Channel - Oh. My. GOD! I have no idea how many times I had written that I despise rock/metal songs... but once again I'm extremely drawn to this song. Am I slowly moving towards the dark side? It is SOOOO GOOD it would be such a shot in the foot for Finland if they don't send it. You are known for your heavy songs and giving an absolutely great performance as on a real concert! Use it! (10/10) 1/2. Teflon Brothers & Pandora - I can't decide my winner, but I absolutely adore this song. I have the same vibes from it as I had from Cicciolina and it landed straight on my playlist. That 80's feel, that mix of Finnish and English, oh I love it! What can I say more? I'm really torn! (10/10) |
