Welcome to Kilkenny!
This is  Ireland's smallest host "city" out of those that have hosted up until now. However, I couldn't resist choosing Kilkenny as a host town/city since it's beautiful and has much to offer for its size x
Anyways, as we are automatically qualified as the hosts, we will be returning to the Irish language for the first time since #78. This song is, in my opinion, quite special and although I was going to go with something else not in Irish, it would be a shame to leave this song out of the final. So let's have a look at the Irish entry:
Róisín Seoighe - Grá
Timeslot: 2:43 or 2:49, I haven't decided yet (I'll make up my mind very soon and tag the hosts x)
"Grá" translates to "Love" in English. This song was written in 2019, but was only released in August 2020, during this very difficult time that we are currently living in. The message of the song, as Róisín explains, is that we live in a world full of such negativity and that it's easy to forget those in your life who are good to you. The video is also a project that Róisín worked on with 31 different women across Ireland to spread love and draw attention to Women's Aid, an organization in Ireland that protects and aids women struggling with domestic violence and abuse, especially during this pandemic.

It's a calm but intriguing song that somehow caught me at first listen, perhaps not so easy to fit into the recap but let's see how it works 
Wallners is a new group consisting of 4 siblings from Vienna, this is their debut song.

"Kalle Kalle"
Shalmali was interviewed by The Telegraph in Kolkata, to discuss her reasoning for writing the song, in which she is quoted below:
"Kalle is the Punjabi word for akele in Hindi. So akele akele main khush hoon (I am happy being single) is the basic hook of the song. What I am trying to say is that I don’t necessarily need a man to keep me happy. It’s an emotion that is very important for women — in general — to feel and to achieve it within ourselves because unless we are happy with ourselves, we cannot possibly be happy in a relation"
Later in the article, she also desrcibes her motivation for writing the song in about how she is feeling in the present, in which she is very busy doing multiple activies she enjoys, whilst enjoying her own personal space, thus came about the idea of writing about her singledom, with the song benig realeased on Valetine's Day this year.
