INTRODUCTION REGIONAL CUPS
The FANA committee is proud to introduce the official FANA Regional Cups in which all 114 countries of Fantasia will take part. The first season is expected to be played during winter and spring 2020/21.
Rules
All seven confederations will have their own regional cup which will bring each confederation's regional champion and FANA World Cup qualifiers. With the general assembly of the FANA committee the following distribution of confederations was determined. Based on several criteria including the interest for the 2020 FANA World Cup the number of spots for each confederation in the 2021 World Cup was decided aswell. Two inter-confederation play-offs will be played in order to determine the last two qualifiers between the four western confederations.
Current confederations:
Yellow: Union of Wulforian Football Associations (UWFA, Central and South Wulfor) • 9.5 spots
Purple: Football Confederation of Sakoda (FCS, Central and South Sakoda) • 8.5 spots
Green: Northern Football Confederation (NFC, North Wulfor and North Sakoda) • 8.5 spots
Pink: Konfederatsiya Futbol'nykh Assotsiatsiy Severnoy Serikana (KFASS, North Serica) • 6 spots
Brown: Confederation of South Serican Association Football (COSSAF, South Serica) • 6 spots
Blue: Confederación Latinica de Fútbol (CLF, Latinica) • 6 spots
Red: Lakadasian and Tritonian Football Confederation (LTFC, Lakadasia and Tritonia) • 4.5 spots
Generally, all cups will have the same structure. That means the cup will consist of two stages, the Qualification Stage and the Knock-Out Stage.
The Qualification Stage will determine the qualifiers for the FANA World Cup, the qualifiers for the Knock-Out Stage and the country which will get a chance at the inter-confederation play offs. This will be done by dividing all nations into groups of 4-7, based on the FANA World Ranking (to be released very soon), in which they'll play home/away games.
The Knock-Out Stage is independent from the World Cup. It will determine the regional champion in the classic tournament mode, hosted in one country of the confederation.

The FANA committee is currently selecting the first seven hosts of the regional Knock-Out Stages. In the future they'll be selected through a normal bidding process.
Further details about each regional cup will be given by the individual hosts.
The regional champions and the previous winner of the FANA World Cup will take part in the FANA Confederations Cup which will be held shortly before the FANA World Cup.
