Miroslav Skoryk (13 July 1938 – 1 June 2020) Myroslav Skoryk was born in Lviv (Ukraine), then a part of Poland (Lwów).
Although his parents did not have special musical training, his mother played piano
and his father played the violin. No less important was the fact
that in his family was a well-known diva of the 20th century –
Skoryk's great aunt was the Ukrainian soprano Solomiya Krushelnytska!
Melody in A minor is a famous piece of music by the Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk,
written by him for the film "High Pass" (1982). Initially, the work was written for flute and piano,
but later the composer made revisions for violin and piano, and violin and orchestra.

 Hungary and  Bosnia & Herzegovina withdrew, the latter player was also banned from further participation. Banned??? I remember the player withdrew after the 100 edition, but I dont remember even seeing problems between that moment and now, maybe something happened in private?, if no one can say its okay, I dont want to stir the pot, it just caught me by surprise to read this. |

As I have mentioned before, I'm not planning to disclose the reason for the ban if not necessary, and I think it's not needed. He has committed a bigger offence in the past (I doubt anyone remembers that), and since then there have been smaller ones. I don't need the players who withdraw in the middle of edition because they didn't qualify, there are others who are interested in participating without problem. |
