May Day are a rock hand from Grisons. I'm slightly familiar with that name, but nothing of their discography lol.  Despite being around for 40+ years, they to my knowledge (and charts positions) never made it big. This song is taken off their 1992 album.  I yesterday read that it's apparently a classical in their home region and according to the writer is one of the 10 best songs that have ever come out of Grisons. |

My last entry was dedicated to the passing of the lead singer of the band Linga. This time my entry is also dedicated to someone - someone whose name in Latvia and ex-Soviet countries doesn't need any explaining. Raimonds Pauls is considered the best composer in  Latvia and 6 days ago he celebrated his 85th birthday, so this entry is dedicated to him and his birthday. Wishing him good health in these tough times! This melody is a soundtrack of a popular latvian movie with the same title "Ilgais Ceļš Kāpās" (1981). The video is a compilation of scenes from the movie.
