Is she like the daughter of Helena? Omg yes! Clive is using a song in Maltese (or at least the song title is lol) for his Aq). Isn't that already like the 3rd time for her this decade lol? Oh, a returning artist - I guess? She is in fact half Albanian and became known as Miss Albania. The song is a Maltese classic by Sammy Bartolo. This is a new version performed by his daughter but the player wanted me to include both of them in the photo to pay tributes to the father. According to the Maltese player "her father wrote a song about how beautiful it is to live life while you're alive as he was dying during that stage of cancer". She only took part in #81 again so no, this is her 2nd time in the contest. Austria did send her in Themed WWWSC #7 though so maybe that's why it felt like it. Surprised you remember that - he took part once again for Taiwan in #44.

Her step father's last name is Kovács and he is Hungarian, but I guess that's not enough connection for me to send her too.

I mean it's a good song but its just a bit unoriginal don't you think especially since he is a borrowed artist?

Oh, a returning artist - I guess? Surprised you remember that - he took part once again for Taiwan in #44. I normally wouldn't. However I actually have Twilight on Spotify - otherwise I wouldn't remember that entry at all since it's been quite a while. The thing that made me go "Oh this is interesting" was originally the announcement post of the Singaporean player who didn't mention Taiwan at all.
I mean it's a good song but its just a bit unoriginal don't you think especially since he is a borrowed artist? He's not taking part for Ethiopia for the first time (and neither Canada just saying). However the previous times it was with unknown songs.

I'm kinda conflicted already with Ethiopia since "Blinding Lights" is one of my favorite songs from last year but I do think it's rather unoriginal specially being a borrowed artist

I have my doubts about Blinding lights reaching the 10 anyway. There's a thing about hits in contests: In order to make them win you need to get them at the right moment (And in the current case that moment is already long time ago imo.) before people are tired of them. I mean there's a reason why entries like Shape of you and Uptown funk both placed out of the top 15 (at a point they were more or less still current) lol. However we'll see how it goes.

Isn't that already like the 3rd time for her this decade lol? Nope, the second time. Only other time I've used her was in #81 . I discovered her music back then, but had a hard time deciding which song to send, so I kept this song on my to-send list.
Edit: Nevermind, Mimis already told you.

This may sound weird, but hearing Swiss German in these recaps honestly still sounds so unreal to me.

Yes, because he's a Singaporean singer! His family still had some ties with Taiwan but he identifies as Singaporean. Twilight is one of my favorite song! I kinda want to bring more JJ Lin in this competition but we'll see maybe after many many editions later. Thanks for noticing
