"Thing You Want"
  Wengie &  Shalmali ft. IKKA
This time India will be represented by returning artist Shalmali alongside Wengie with their song Thing You Want, featuring IKKA.
Shalmali is from Mumbai, having previously represented India not too long ago in the 85th edition with Kalle Kalle, unfortunately only coming 11th in the second semi-final. Wengie is a well-known singer, vlogger and voice actress. Orignally from Guangzhou, she moved to Australia went she was young, now being based between Sydney and Los Angeles. IKKA is a rapper and lyricst, born in Himachal Pradesh, and has acheived great successes in the Hindi film industry.
Thing You Want has lyrics in both Hindi and English. To paraphrase from an article in Rolling Stone India, the song blends music elements from K-pop, Punjabi bhangra, EDM and trap. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the music video features animated versions of the three artists travelling through the magical fantasy land.
