LASTLINGS ARE RETURNING! After weeks of voting, the 4th edition of Australian Voice finally came to an end. A total of 17 votes were received. Following a tense voting process, with the top 2 being always close by result to each other, we can finally reveal that Lastlings has won the selection with 1 vote margin and will return to represent their home country after 4 editions. The runner-ups were Kloud with Gabriel Paris and their song "Love Me". You can find the full results of the selection here.
Lastlings are an Japanese-Australian sibling pop-duo from Gold Coast, Queensland, made up of Josh and Amy Dowdle. The project began while Amy was in high school; at the time Josh was studying biomedical science and working in fashion, from the age of 8 he studied classical music. Drummers Dave Jenkins and Shane Benson are interchangeably added to the band's lineup for live performances. The duo ensures that they to pay homage to their Japanese heritage, infusing subtle nods to their culture in the form of finding inspiration from their favourite anime, or as we hear in songs like "No Time", inspired by Kazuo Ishiguro’s dystopian novel Never Let Me Go.
They have previously represented Australia in contest back in the 21st edition held in the neighboring Yemen where they achieved 15th place.
Lastlings "Out Of Touch" TS: TBD
Thank you to everyone who voted and good luck in Oman!

Assala Nasri is returning for Bahrain!!أصالة نصري تعود للبحرين
On 12 May 2021, Bahraini broadcaster BRTC announced that the country will take part despite Hanan Redha coming 17th in her semifinal last edition, bringing the country to its second Quarter Final and, since our luck is immense, this time a QF is more likely than ever. Despite all of this, our nation is ready to go through the Pre-Qualfiication Round again and we are ready to present you Bahrain's second returning artist. Assala Nasri to perform Bent Akaber Timeslot: 2:27-2:52 History of Bahrain in the Own Asiavision Song Contest
The small Gulf country debuted in the fourteenth edition, hosted in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and was welcomed with a dead last placement in its semifinal, brought by Ala Ghawas and his Veteran, followed by another non-qualification in Palestine. The country then returned in Hangzhou #17 and achieved its first qualification, thanks to Ahllam and her bop Nafas. Ahllam would later return under Bahrain's current, at the time new, delegation, in Laos, and achieve the country's second and last qualification to date, with her Persian banger Sheytoon. Unfortunately the country hasn't been able to qualify since then, with the most successful result being a 13th place in its semifinal in #21. In Daegu #24, Assala managed to qualify from the Quarter Final, but scored a 14th place in her semi, luckily escaping the following edition's QF, which, in reality, would never take place because of the relatively low number of participants. Hanan Redha sang Shafti Ana in Taiwan achieving a 17th place in her semi and thus making the country's participation in the QF, that will take place in Oman, possible. Assala Nasri is returning for Bahrain in Oman trying, once again, to qualify from both the Quarter-Final and the Semifinal, with her song Bent Akaber.

On April 23, the national broadcaster Lao National Television (LNTV) lead by Kinoshita Hisashi, as the head of delegation, announced the participation of the country in the twenty-sixth edition of Own Asiavision Song Contest in Oman.
The national selection Répondez-moi Regarde:Lao was used as the selection method for the second time after Ka Lia’s winning song achieved a nice placement in Kaohsiung. This time, nine artists from not only Laos but also from Australia, Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the United States had decided to challenge for being the Laotian representative. The proposed online show took place in Luangprabang and we already had the chosen artist for the upcoming contest who apparently is ...

“We Are The Best” Laos in Own Asiavision Song Contest 26
『 Written and composed by Kin Aesis himself 』
« We Are The Best » is a song about the awakening of inner self-confidences. People in this century are facing many different and diverse forms of discrimination, critics, Self-confidence is an attitude about your skills and abilities. It could mean about the acception and self-trusting by having a sense of control in a life. By writing this song, Kin tried to encourage every people to keep concentrating in your own mind and have a positive view of yourself - as nobody coud know their strengths and weakness better than themselves. Chanting We Are The Best, we could find a way to set realistic expectations and goals, communicate assertively, and of course, to handle criticism because in our own storyline, we are definitely the best.
Detail voting of international juries in regarde:LAO 2
We Are The Best won the second edition of Regarde:Lao2 with the amount of 136 points, beating the previous representatives like Sophie-Tith and Nuuxs by correspondingly 3 and 16 points. Kin Aesis received the highest scores from Australian, Burmese, Kuwaiti, Omani juries and also from the Laotian televiewers. However, as there was such a small margin between the top two, Sophie-Tith will be granted as the Laotian representative for the twenty-seventh edition and her second OASC entry will be selected by the show Regarde:LAO from her entire discography! The Lao delegation would like to thank the aforementioned international juries and also the ones from Bahraini, Bhutanese, Cambodian, Indonesian and Japanese delegations for kindly joining our international jury panel. Merci beaucoup!
We wish the best of luck to every participating country and to our Kin Aesis in Oman. Bon courage! Lao National Television • LNTV Official representative Lao broadcaster in Own Asiavision
