Let's be honest: yes that Penalty scene in yesterday's match was probably a wrong decision. But all in all Italy and England both deserved to qualify for the final as they were clearly the best teams all tournament. It might be just a subjective opinion, but I'm gonna disagree about  England. Purely based on the whole tournament I can name at least 2 teams that deserved to be in the final more than England did -  Belgium (were unlucky to face Italy earlier than in final) and  Denmark (played with passion the whole tournament and were just unlucky yesterday). If it would've gone to penalties, I'd say Denmark would've taken it... but referee decided otherwise... we already know this referee as a very controversial one (his latest achievement was to disallow a clear Ronaldo's goal against Serbia in march. He even admitted his mistake later on). |
