Okay to me, this sounds quite promising  interested to see what the NF will bring as a whole  Definitely a wet dream for my rock fan self to have a song like this representing one of my favorite ESC nations    even if i feel like it is highly unlikely to happen but who knows These guys seem like the result of  Little Big and  Blind Channel having a baby or something and i am loving it lol |

My top 6 of Germany 12 points:
1 Emily Roberts - Soap This is generally just a regular pop song. I like it, but find both the song title as well as the entire head line ("wash my brain with soap") very weird. Parts of the lyrics are actually relatable.
2. Maël & Jonas - I swear to God I like this entry surprisingly lot, although its verses are too weak compared to the chorus.
3. Eros Atomus - Alive It does have a few elements that are somewhat appealing to me, but the full song is quite unspectacular. Vocally, it's okay, but imo a finalist at The voice should be able for more. And finally, yes, it's nice to be alive, but does he really need to say that so often ...
4. Malik Harris - Rockstars Putting this entry here just because it's not very Eurovision because apart from that, it's pretty boring and unspectacular.
5 Felicia Lu - Anxiety Before this came on, I was actually expecting this to be a ballad, but the I was like "Oh, what's that", lol. And unfortunately for her I really didn't like what I got instead. And it also ended way too abrupt for me.
6. Nico Suave & Team Liebe - Hallo Welt First of all, I'm already cringing at the group's name, but yeah ... There's so much I could criticise in this song as well. Where do I even start, lol? Normally, nothing that would bother me, but this Eurovision season apparently does is the missing intro. What really bothers me, however, is the non-existent melody. A positive thing I'd like to mention here is the language. Germany isn't known to be a country to often use its own language, so an entry in German is refreshing.  But why the heck does it suddenly change to English? And even more since it's only a very few sentence and therefore quite pointless. Then, it's extremely lengthy. Somewhere at around 1:00, it already felt like 10 minutes ... Btw. how many vocalists does this entry include? Because that's far too many to be true. It's nice to have an actual group taking part, though. Overall, it's a good message, but it's noting but a hot mess.
This NS is absolutely not good, imo, and it was actually hard to rank the songs. In the poll, I'm finally voting for my top 2. |

Have i ever been this disappointed about the German ESC choices?  Probably not but ah well you can't always be perfect I am just getting kind of frustrated as they did have a choice to send something different and that would definitely stand out (yes i am speaking of EC here), but instead they just decide to go with those boring generic radio friendly songs over and over again that will probably work on some people, but to me it just sounds like i have heard this same stuff come from Germany many times over and it never gets anywhere. It's a real shame as they are one of my favorite ESC nations or atleast have been in the past, but lately the entries have just not been there for me and i would need something refreshing and not... this. I fear for another 0 points, but i hope i am wrong as i wanna see Germany do well and take another win in the future, but at this rate and with songs like these it doesn't feel like its gonna happen anytime soon. But i guess that's just my opinion. I was just hoping for something else. |

After hearing a couple songs, it's already better than what they tried to serve last year. However, I do agree it's not that better. Some of these songs are blaaaaand, but I have hopes for a couple. Knowing Germany, the broadcaster will rig the selection so that the least popular of the bunch somehow gets selected.  For Germany's sake, I hope this year is at least more like Michael Schulte and less like Sisters. |

I give it a  for now. And Idk what to think about it. In fact, the song isn't that bad, but neither good. I guess the correct word to use here is underwhelming ... What bothers me personally the most, however, is the misleading song title ... |
