A little funny that all the DQ countries would've tied with another country in scores if they weren't DQ.
This is such a banger, and it definitely grew on me a lot this edition. I even gave it
. Score-wise, definitely underrated, but with the DQ, it would've placed 28th/29th, so not a big loss.
This would've placed 26th/27th, and I wouldn't have minded tbh. It sounds like an awesome hype anthem though.
This would've been hovering just outside the Top 10, but with so many sets of votes missing, their placement might've changed dramatically if the turnout was bigger. This is just okay. It wasn't one of my personal qualifiers.
The original last placer. I think it's shameful to see this song this low. It's a little better than that tbh.
I really thought this was staying in the semis, so I was surprised it qualified at all. Italian songs usually have some flavor, but this is bland.
Underrated host entry. This slaps.
Thought it would do better, since it did quite well in the semis. It's nice.
Probably the one Uzbek entry that has fallen flat the most. There are elements that give it potential, but it just didn't impact me.
Another underrated banger.
It's a nice and soulful duet. I suppose I'm not that surprised at how well it did even if it's not my cup of tea.
I like my electronic music, but this sadly just wasn't strong. It just didn't stand out.
To me, the most random qualifier.
I just didn't see this in the final, so 19th is quite too high already.
This was mostly sounding like a generic electronic track, but then the drop kicks in. It sounds so much like the drop in Moldova's entry. Does anyone else hear it? It's the exotic guitar strings that both this and Moldova's song has. Comparatively, this is inferior.
My
! I had this pegged for a place in the Top 10. Best BROODS song since "Free." So underrated.
This is a unique song, and I think it could've done better. Personally though, I considered this to put in my top 10, but it just didn't make it in.
No doubt the best Croatian entry in a long time. This is so good. It came really close to being in my top 10.
My
. Ugh, that drop is just so... euphoric. Shame it's underrated. It deserves to place higher.
My
. I wanted to give this 12, but it was a close race for my favorite entry, and this fell a bit short. I'm more shocked that it didn't flop since this song has its fair share of naysayers.
This was hanging out in the top 10 for a long while, so clearly your entry was well-liked. But the last bunch of votes really brought it down. It's quite good and pretty dramatic, which already makes it interesting. Well done on your first final!
It's a nice soft ballad, but after an amazing song like "Feet Don't Fail Me Now," this feat failed in my opinion. Good job on 11th though!
I wonder how Mihai will react to this Top 10 finish. I already dismissed this as not winning the edition, but I should've seen a Top 10 place coming for it. It's grown on me a bit. Well done!
9th again! Pretty impressive. I gave this bop my
. Alexa, you definitely know your way with Bulgarian songs, and I look forward to whatever Bulgarian songs you'll be sharing with us in the future.
And my
goes to Sweden (and of course when I love a Swedish song this much, it doesn't do as well as I would hope. :mwangi: ). Still, 8th place is amazing! This is just a massive earworm, but like the earworm and I have a symbiotic relationship. I give the earworm shelter and the earworm gives me a banger. I dare say one of my favorite Swedish entries in a while.
China (Top 10 era). This is China's second consecutive Top 10 result! This one got my
. This was almost out of my Top 10, but it just stuck with me. It stood out a lot. Well done.
My
. Amalia really snapped with this one. Best NNMC entry of hers since "Uçalymy." This is Amalia's best result in 4 years! I'm a little gutted this finished so closed to the top 5 (you were in an AQ place for a bit during the voting), but this is my personal 6th place overall. And, it tied her best placement of 6th all the way back to the 18th edition.
Well, well, well. This is interesting. You were on the verge of NQ-ing in the semifinals. (You qualified by one point.) And 5th place here is where you land. This one grew off me a little bit, but I really enjoyed this entry initially, so I'm happy it did so well. And I'm sure Luiri will be happy, too after his many (deserved) flops.
It's a good song, so I predicted a mid-table placement, but 4th?!? Maybe consider sending more native entries in the future. You've had great fortunes with them.
My
. This was always gonna end up doing well, even possibly AQ-ing, but a fight for the win is a fight it wasn't gonna win. I mean, look at the margin between 3rd and 2nd. I love this song, probably Sigrid's best... ever?
Congratulations!
After seeing its result in OESC, I thought it would also place similarly here, but I was proven wrong. Wouldn't it be funny if a French-language song won, but it wasn't by France? Oh well.
This barely creeped into my top 10, getting
from me, and it came down to the instrumental. It's so sensual. In other news, congratulations to Panchin for such a strong finish! You deserve your AQ.
It looks like the patience of sitting out for one edition because you didn't confirm soon enough last month paid off.
And for the second edition in a row, my overall 11th place of the final won. The fact that it was mainly this and Moldova that was competing for my 1 point is funny now.
I enjoyed this song a lot. I just enjoyed some songs more is the thing. Congratulations to Vaios! Greece secures its second win under a second user. I look forward to going back to Greece for NNMC.
ukraineofcourse , I have to call you out on
how you voted. For this instance, we've given you the benefit of the doubt. However, in the 59 editions of NNMC, every person that has ever participated in NNMC has never had their top 10 be ten consecutive countries in the running order, especially the first ten songs. It must just be an incredibly strange coincidence that the first ten songs in the Grand Final are your overall top 10. For this to ever happen is like... weird.
Brief thoughts in the semifinals results. (Gregory will have the grids prepared later.)
SF1: NQ'd by 1 point. Ouch.
14th is a crime.
SF2: 19th?!? NINE. TEENTH?!?! The cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity, and the gumption.
SF3: You lost out to Belgium by 1 point. If I had to choose between SK and Belgium, I'd put SK in the final, but I did give points to both, so it's mainly bittersweet.
To be so close to qualifying points-wise is not fun, but oh well. Belgium and Philippines were actually tied before the RotW vote, but RotW
wrongfully preferred Belgium.
