From my point of view, it's tasteless and very mean-spirited that you have to go out of your way to discredit this contest and question the hosts' actions just so you can get your entry accepted, or just as a tantrum for it not being accepted. Also calling someone's argument ''BS'' or ''flat-out stupid'' even if you disagree with them is extremely disrespectful and low.
From a contest host perspective, I've always found it infuriating when people just come in and question the way I manage it, as if all the work I put into it was in vain. If you don't agree with the contest's rules, just don't participate in it, end of the story, you won't be affected in any way if you stay out of it (feedback is always appreciated but this is pure destructive criticism).
It's surprising that some people around here just can't respect other people's work.

Sanam will be returning for their third attempt, their first almost winning the contest coming second, with their second getting lost in the SCR... probably not a surprise that they are one of my favourite Indian music acts so I'm happy to send this which I've been contemplating for a while now, hopefully it's well liked  |

I too was about to withdraw because I really didn't have anything I wanted to send. But it would be a shame to withdraw now when I've almost participated for 80 editions in a row. So I will stay  I don't normally send male singers to the contest (I'm sure you can tell) and the last time I actually sent a male vocalist was in #86. So to not go an entire decade (the #90s) without sending a male singer I'll do it now. (1:32- I guess?) |
