Arizonian entry revealed!Phoenix ☆ 29th January 2022Following the confirmation for the contest hosting , KSAZ-TV made an official announcement today, regarding the artist and the song that will represent Arizona in the fifth edition of Own USAvision Song Contest. So without further ado, we are glad to announce that the Arizonian representative is finally found and it’s perfect time for us to introduce...her.
Genre-bending alternative powerhouse LUNA AURA is hell bent on paving her own path. The singer, songwriter, producer, and triple threat delivers songs that are brimming with messages of rebellion, feminism, and individuality. LUNA, who began penning songs and performing at age 14, has already shared stages with The Killers, K.Flay, Muse, Weezer, Garbage, P!nk, Odesza, and more of music’s biggest names. She has spent time on the festival market, playing KAABOO, Lost Lake, So What Music Fest, EMERGE and many others. Her work and artistry has been featured in GQ, Teen Vogue, NYLON, Idolator, MTV, VH1, Ones To Watch and more. As of late, the LA-via- Phoenix native joined forces with JT Daly for her latest EP “THREE CHEERS FOR THE AMERICAN BEAUTY”, a bold and defiant piece. AURA draws on childhood influences like Garbage, NIN, Hole and Gwen Stefani. Her latest work is fresh, provocative, and bold. Perfectly matched with her vibrant, in-your-face, live performances. The original release of LUNA’s debut EP was set for summer 2020, but was rescheduled in support of the current civil rights movement and issues that she feels deserve the country’s undivided attention.

MINNESOTA ANNOUNCES ENTRY!
29 January, Minneapolis. MPTA has decided that Astræa will represent the Northern state in the 5th edition of Own USAvision Song Contest with “Tonight I Run”
Growing up in small town Minnesota, which is snowbound for what seems like half the year, eight-year-old Jennifer – Astræa’s real name - had spent her childhood ‘drawn to music’, singing in choirs and performing impromptu renditions of Disney classics to anyone who would listen until her family was bequeathed an old piano from the 19th century and things started to get interesting. 2:18+
