Although it was initially revealed that the Libyan entry will be a local and foreign collaboration, the song's producer decided to pull out from this edition for undisclosed reasons. An alternative was therefore selected as the backup entry instead.

Cape Verde's entry!
Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana presents you the 11th capeverdean entry.
Altemelanindition edition? Okay let's be as African as possible, this will be the first time we sing in fully Cape Verdean Creole (or Criolo as they say in Cape Verde) , may the non qualification streak finally end? We believe she can do it, good luck to one of the most acclaimed capeverdean music artists after being featured in Spotify's billboard in Times Square, NYC: Soraia Ramos "BKBN (Bu Ka Bali Nada)"TS: 0:50+Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana © 2022

ENTRY REMINDER 1Notice About the Edition Just as a reminder, this is an Altemelanindition. In these editions, only artists from the continent of Africa who are not white will be accepted. For example, Ayra Starr is eligible for both Nigeria and Benin, but Akintoye would not be eligible. Likewise Moonchild Sanelly would be eligible, but Monark wouldn't be eligible. If an entry violates these rules, I reserve the right to reject them. Smaller nations (like Djibouti, Lesotho, etc.) will have a slightly looser definition of the rules than larger nations (like Ghana, Nigeria, etc.). If you have questions about which pod a nation falls into, please dm me (Discord is preferred). Artists that would be rejected this edition can be sent to the next edition.

Don’t sure if it’s praiseworthy or not but here is our song! Non so se sia lodevole o meno, ma ecco la nostra canzone! Posted in Eritrea (26 May 22)
After being guaranteed a grand final spot in the upcoming contest, the head of Eritrean delegation PoomA Zadik Zadik is so happy and decided to send another native singer (even if this time, it was actually forced!). Lady, gentlemen and gentlepeople please welcome . . .
Yonas Maynas
Yonas Mhreteab Maynas (ዮናስ ምሕረትኣብ ማይናስ) is a famous Eritrean comedian and director. He is well-known for his outstanding job in Eritrean entertainment industry.
In the first place, Yonas actually wanted to become a bike rider but after meeting with his friend, he changed his mind and decided to enter the entertainment industry and debuted as a comedian. Yonas’ own directed and acted online comedy show Wedi Shuq becomes very popular in Eritrea and has the total amount of eight seasons until now. Jonas has won the Best Director award at national annual entertainment award Shamot as well.
His journey in entertainment world is not reached the highest peak yet until when he was nominated for the Best Artiste, Duo or Group in African Traditional at the 2021 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). On November 22 in Lagos, he was announced as the eventual winner above the rest eleven nominees. This victory brought a lot of happiness and proudness to Eritrean people. To continue and celebrate his success, the Eritrean delegation team is proud to announce that he will represent Eritrea and will make our nation proud on the Own Africavision stage in Senegal with definitely a song that brought him a continent-wide win once already. So we are now ready to announce that the eleventh Eritrean entry is going to be…
“Hamida (حميدة)” Eritrea in Own Africavision Song Contest 11
Song by Yonas MaynasProduced by Yonas MaynasTimeslot will be added later“Let this song be the one to celebrate the Eid Mubarak, as well as, the integrity of the Eritrean diversity” This is what Yonas described his own OAfSC entry.
We may wish the best of luck to everybody and of course, to our legend Yonas!
