AySay to represent Denmark! Copenhagen, Denmark • 18 July 2022
 DR has finally revealed the song that will represent the country in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest! The band AySay have been selected as the Danish representative with the song "Nerelisin". With the song being performed in Turkish this marks the first time the country is being represented by a song in Turkish but also the second edition in a row that the country is performing in a language other than English and Danish. "We really liked the approach we took last edition with showcasing different cultures in Denmark by sending a song in German. This edition we took it a step further by sending a song that's also showcasing a different culture musically." AySay is a Danish/Kurdish trio from the Danish city of Aarhus, led by Luna Bülow Ersahin on vocals and saz with Aske Døssing Bendixen on drums and Carl West Hosbond on guitar. The band combines Anatolian folk and Nordic electronica. They sing in both Danish, Turkish and Kurdish. A wonderful melting pot of music that stands out with a unique expression. In 2021, the trio released the beautiful debut album Su Akar ( 'water flows' in Turkish), which Danish music magazine GAFFA called "unforgettable". The trio will be performing their most recent single "Nerelesin" for the country. The song was written and composed by the band members and is performed in Turkish. With these turn of events.... the Italian delegation (that being me, classifiedcat 95% warning level) is heavily considering REMOVING the region of Sicily from its demoscopic panel, instead inviting sourcandy 's Emilia-Romagna.[15][16][17] Lombardy can stay for now, however those treacherous heathens provided us with DADA's 'Cavala',[EXHIBIT A][EXHIBIT B][15] so as you can imagine, tensions are still EXTREMELY HIGH!
There in fact was a tie for first place in the televote in fact! Between this and Reve's 'Tongue'. However... after the (horrible) Maltese delegation kindly courier pigeoned that Reve SAMPLED word for word the lyric 'That's so Raven' from the 'That's so Raven' theme track,[2] it was over for Reve. Furthered by the fact of the newly found Trst demoscopic jury private messaging the Italian delegation frantically casting their ballots for Preferisco te.[11][12]

Just kidding, yes  The Scandinordic beats were not found in dearly departed Sweden,[20] no no, nor will they be found in yet-to-be-posted Denmark. We have all seen the Balkan and Baltic nations band together, [17] but the Scandinordics have been mysteriously silent. That's because they are ALL backing Preferisco Te. The question is, will you do the same? Will you stand with the nation of Italy in its fight against regional seperatism. Or... will you support the independence movement of Sicily? It's your call, but I know what I'm choosing. Don't end up like Amaia

Despite the public vote winners, Lombardy/Sicilian Demoscopic Jury winner Ana Mena receiving over 7,000 votes more than the runner-up,[1] RealItaliaStar runner-up Strange BB (do you know how much money it costs to hire Addison Rae?), both of them did not receive any points from the Italian EXPERT jurors whereas Cara & Chadia Rodriguez, which placed third in the public vote, were awarded eight points by the EXPERT JURY jurors (which awarded Ana Mena and Strange BB acts about 1/4 of their votes) making it enough for them to score another win as all four EXPERT ITALIAN CLASSIFIEDCAT JURORS jurors (which awarded the text to speech acts about 1/10 of their votes) awarded them maximum points.[5]

But what made the jaws of every Northvision: Your Decision enthusiast drop the most was the casual reminder of RAI's very own (as inspired by Destination Northvision), 'Spanish language penalty' which reduced Ana Mena's score by a whopping nine points omg .... what could that MEAN?!
Realizing that favourites Ana Mena and Strange BB were not going to win, the audience started leaving the event with the remaining audience BOOING Cara & Chadia Rodriguez off the stage and throwing objects (such as bottles) at the stage during the reprise.[8]
