Eritrea confirms! L'Eritrea conferma la sua partecipazione! Posted in Dakar, Senegal (2 July 22)
Despite the low placement by our legend Yonas Maynas in Dakar, the head of Eritrean delegation PoomA Zadik Zadik stated that Eritrea will still keep participating cuz yes. As we are allowed to send diaspora singers again, there is no reason for us to drop out and we already picked our next entrant. This singer is recommended to us by other delegations so many times and now we will finally send her to OAfSC stage. Lady and gentlepeople, please welcome . . .
FVN
Born and raised in Copenhagen, Feven (known professionally as FVN) is an Eritrean female rapper who continues to demonstrate that rap’s got room for women. Empowering and reverberating, FVN’s rap anthems are sure to rouse the hearts of all those who listen; confidence oozes out of her witty lyricism, and the beat is always dance-worthy. From “Like Boom” to “Baddest” (feat. DJ John Vincent), FVN never fails to prove her worth. She made her debut just last year with the concurrent release of “Sunkissed” and “Mad Ting”, and has racked up over 80k Spotify streams ever since, not to mention places on the Spotify-curated New Music Friday Denmark and New Hip-Hop and R&B. In sum, it’s just the beginning for FVN. Feven write her music in all different types of ways but the most “typical way” for her is when the beat talks so herself. It’s like it’s taking her somewhere and when she is at the destination she creates a vibe. Sometimes with top lines first, other times with punch lines first, it depends. In a short time, she has gotten airplay on radio station P3 in both Denmark and Sweden and received significant publicity in a number of leading magazines. In 2020, she released her debut EP Twenty Sexy Playlist, which features one quoteable line after another, a cocky and cheeky universe, a distinctly US sound (she raps flawlessly in English) and lots of hooks and solid beats. On her new single “Sleep” she shows that she can sing as well. Lately, she has gained a lot of fames from Eritrean people via social media platforms as well. To continue her music adventure, the Eritrean delegation team is proud to announce that she will represent Eritrea and will make our nation proud on the Own Africavision stage in Malawi. Mr. Kinoshita stated that her Own Africavision entry will be revealed to the public soon. Stay tune for the Eritrean song!

Tunisian entry reveal La chanson tunisienne a été révélée par ERTT تم الكشف عن الأغنية التونسية
Sfax, Tunisia - 2nd July 2022After a satisfactory edition in Dakar, where our queen Latifa represented us in the final with her bop, Fresh, and nabbed an unexpected 9th place, ERTT has of course confirmed that Tunisia will continue participating.
Interest among Tunisians remains high, especially after the past 2 editions. ERTT reported a 90% share on their main channel where the grand final of the 11th edition was shown. As well as that, Tunisia has a great and untapped music industry, which deserves recognition by participating in the contest.
In addition to confirming, ERTT has already announced who will represent the North African country in the next edition. Since this edition allows for diaspora, applications went up as expected.
Moo Malika is a Swiss singer with both Austrian and Tunisian roots - which come from her father. She was born in Switzerland and also speaks Arabic, which she has used to help other refugees who have since settled there. She decided to accept the ticket to Malawi and will represent her other country, Tunisia, with the song Eny (إني) which is sung in German (specifically Swiss German) with the chorus being in Arabic. Take a listen below:
timeslot: 1:49-
You can also stream our song on Spotify below:
Good luck to Moo Malika! !حظا سعيدا لإيناس Bonne chance à Moo Malika! Viel glück!
A replacement video will be provided nearer to the deadline.

São Tomé and Príncipe São Tomé and Príncipe confirms their participation.
This is my tenth participation in the competition with Sao Tome and Principe. In general, the country I chose to enter the contest is quite a difficult country in terms of finding a good song, but I think I've done a great job so far and even some entries that didn't qualify and finished quite low I think are good songs about a country like Sao Tome and Principe. I have entered the process of finding songs for several countries with which I would like to participate in the future and in fact the last editions several of them have been used and in fact ended up in the top 10. Probably in the next edition if there is any available country from the ones I have find some songs to join her and leave Sao Tome and Principe to someone else who will do an excellent job and why not better than mine. The entry for this edition is the one I would send in the previous edition.
Sílvia Barros will return for the second time to represent the small country after her previous participation in the 9th edition where she brought São Tomé and Príncipe for the first time not only in the top 10 but also in the top 5. This time she will represent the country with the song "Like'em".Replacement video:Timeslot: 0:00+
I would especially like to thank MG for giving me permission to use the replacement video that he made.
