South Africa will be returning for the 13th edition in  Eritrea. Our national selection, Kaapstad Musiekfees is very likely to come back, though nothing is officially confirmed yet. |

Due to time constraints,  Djibouti will be withdrawing from this edition. And once again, the country is now open for a new HoD, whether for this edition if confirmed later on or for future editions. It was great to be back here even if it was just for a short amount of time. Good luck to all nations for this edition! |

Bizerte, Tunisia - 8th October 2022After an amazing edition in  Lilongwe, where our   Swiss-Tunisian talent Moo Malika achieved the highest placing so far for the country, 3rd, there were no doubts about Tunisia participating in the 13th edition. The new decade has been very successful for the country so far, and we hope to continue this going forward.
For this edition, we have selected another talented Tunisian based artist to grace the stage. In compliance with the rules, the song will be in Arabic as it is the native language of Tunisia. (+ we don't really have other non-European languages to use rn)
Maya will be the 13th Tunisian act to take part on the Own Africavision stage. She has been shortlisted for many editions now, but never got the opportunity to participate. Now with the country being AQ once again, she finally gets the chance to do so with her bop Wliya (وليا).
