BELGIUM CONFIRMS!
Brussels, 22 October 2023
Belgium is set to participate in the 42nd North Vision Song Contest. The 22nd place result in the previous edition with the song "Femme fatale" by Sonayou did not lead to an increased interest from lesser-known artists, similar to the previous representative, to submit entries. Therefore, the broadcaster is maintaining its approach of selecting the country's representative internally.
The broadcasters are already in discussions with potential singers who have expressed their interest in proudly representing Belgium in Portugal. While the national selection format remains on hold, the focus is on finding a performer who can deliver a strong performance and elevate Belgium's standing in the contest.
More information and details regarding the Belgian entry are expected to be released in due course.
