47 (48?) Countries to Cardiff!
With the host country  Wales having yet to give an official confirmation, and  Libya withdrawing despite confirming earlier, we will be seeing 47 Songs to participate in the Europa Festival's return.
As expected with this amount, there will be two Semi-Finals that will be held, each containing 21 Countries, with 10 qualifiers from each semis + the best 11th place, should Wales not confirm by the entry deadline, the 11 best placed songs from each semis will be making it instead.
For the automatic qualifiers, there will be 6 of them, and will be based on the top results from the previous edition, which will be:
Wales (winner of #30)
 Gibraltar (runner-up of #30)
 Kazakhstan (3rd place of #30)
 France (4th place of #30)
 Belarus (5th place of #30)
 Slovakia (6th place of #30)
 Faroe Islands (7th place of #30)
 Portugal (8th place of #30)
The allocation draw and semi-final running order will be presented after the entry deadline.
The entry deadline is set to be on Sunday 24 March at 23:59CET |
