I already said to Alex that I want to learn Greek. I think I'll start in 2-3 weeks I've never seen such an amazing language next to Afrikaans

How do I say: "What do those áććéńt and underlines mean?" in Greek? It shows how you must pronounce the word and which letter to emphasize. Do you get me?

It shows how you must pronounce the word and which letter to emphasize. Do you get me? I understand, but which sign stands for which pronunciation? It shows where the stress falls on a certain part of a word. Eg. καλησπέρα it's 4 syllables κα-λη-σπέ-ρα - the acute accent ´ on the letter έ (epsilon) indicates that the stress in this word falls on the 3rd syllable of the word on the letter έ. So instead of it being " kÁlispera" the word is pronounced "kalispÉra" Example of why they're imporant ... μήλο - can mean "apple" μιλώ - to speak/talk / eg μιλάτε ελληνικά? - do you speak Greek? (I hope this all makes sense)
