North Vision Song Contest #1 (Entries)

The Artist:

Her name is Viktoria Vasilevich (Вікторія Василевич) or simply known as Vika. She is 23 years of age and is an only child. She is from the city of Zaporosia and currently resides in Kiev. She started writing lyrics at the age of seven and composed her first complete song at 14. Her first performance on national television from the Palace of Ukraine followed shortly afterwards. Since then, she has written arranged and recorded her own songs, had number one hits on Kiev radio and performed many of her hits as the headliner act in major music festivals throughout Ukraine, Canada and the US. She’s also a songwriter for other Ukrainian artists, and recently composed the closing song for a Ukrainian version of American Idol.



In a press conference held today she mentioned:

"I wanted to be fully in charge of my music. I was recording in good studios, [but] I always felt like people didn’t always feel like I do. I couldn’t explain sometimes what was wrong. I wouldn’t be able to explain what sounds ‘boxy’ to me and why."
