Would it be strange to go to see a band live on my own? KAWALA are coming to my home town in October and i am really starting to like their songs but i know none of my friends will haha Kind of want to go and see them but not sure about going on my own. While, yes, going to a concert would feel rather strange alone when you've gone with friends in the past, I would definitely not leave out the opportunity to still attend the concerts if I still love the act that is hosting it. I've often attended concerts with a few pals before in the past, and my first experience attending a concert alone was different to say the least, but I still went there for the main point of enjoying the act I paid for, and those still paid of very well. And to be fair, you're still attending a concert where all of its visitors have the same common interest as you: liking the act, so even if you're not there with friends, you're still there with a bunch of people who likes the same thing as you. Though, different concerts might vary in experience depending on who the act is, as I've mostly attended act such as Miss Li, Loreen and Myrkur, who aren't really acts which you'd have more fun with dancing around with friends and share the same experience with them (ex. the Dubioza Kolektiv concert I attended with my uncle and friends). But eitherway, don't let the fact that you're going alone dismiss you from going to the concert. If you would really love to see them live, it's definitely worth attending their concert, whether you're going with friends or not

Is it weird I've always gone to concerts by myself? My friends usually never follow me there and of course that won't prevent me from watching my fave artists live

I'm sure I'll go to more eventually. I guess if I really wanted to go, it wouldn't matter if anyone accompanied me or not, but having company is at least helpful socially.

Imaging not living in a rural area and being able to go to concerts. Can't relate.

The village where my dad grew up (Conna, East Cork) has this outdoor festival every summer, and their highlight is getting Meat Loaf to perform in 1990. But Meat Loaf stated in his autobiography that performing there was the low point of his career

Okay so I am back from Greece, and I can’t believe that this time passed so fast I- Anyway If you don’t mind I would like to share some of my thoughts after coming back. First of all I was really nervous even before leaving as I was going to meet Jan, my first forum meeting from another country, and he even agreed to host me in his house for one night instead of me staying at the airport, so I really want to thank him for being an amazing host. I thought it would be awkward since we are both kind of antisocials but we actually talked a lot and the time passed very fast. The experience working in a hotel on a Greek Island is not one of the best if you ask me, but other than that I again meet a lot of amazing people and I almost cried when I left. Gladly some of them happened to be from the same city as me, and I even found one person related to my family anyhow . Travelling was fun and some of the places I visited were really breathtaking. On my way back I wanted to visit Athens as I didn’t quite have time at the beginning of my journey, but this time I couldn’t meet Jan due to his busy schedule. But despite that, honestly I really enjoyed that city so much, that after spending 2 days there I was thinking all my way back home about moving there. You might think that Greece might not seem the best country to live in, but I think that’s the most suitable one for me if I compare the living standards of Romania. It doesn’t seem expensive at all and I just love the climate and the people. I didn’t thought that this internship will open my eyes so much on my future. I have just one year left until I finish my university and until now I was clueless about what to do with my life. Maybe this is just because I still feeling nostalgic about living the Greek summer and life, but for now I am sure of that. Most of my friends call me crazy but I feel more confident than ever. I want to live far from home, where I can finally be independent, starting everything from zero. I hope that until summer nothing will change and I’ll get the opportunity to find a good job in Athens.
