I HATE AIRPLANES I DON'T WANT TO GET ON AN AIRPLANE ! I'M SCARED THAT IT WILL BE CRASHED Don't be scared, the odds of a plane crash are extremely low. These statistics are based on American numbers, but we have the most flights going in and out of our country- I think- so the odds are, I'm assuming, much lower for other countries with less flights. The annual risk of being killed in a plane crash for the average American is about 1 in 11 million. The annual risk of being killed in a motor vehicle crash for the average American, which is about 1 in 5,000. There is 1 in 3 chance of living if your plane crashes. It's impossible to calculate the exact odds of a plane crash, but all of these considered, it can be inferred that they're really low odds. Many Americans have a major fear of flying after 9/11. They seem to think that it'll be hijacked and flown into a city again. Know why there wasn't a second 9/11? Our better airport security system. People complain about it to all-get-out, but honestly, I'd rather deal with TSA officials putting their hands on me to make sure I'm not carrying knives, explosives, and guns than have lax security that leaves my flight susceptible to a hijacking.

^ Yes and trains are the most dangerous mode of transportation according to Knight and Day.
9/11 was the second and the successful attempt of these rebels. The first one, which is an Air France, was originally meant to fly through the Eiffel Tower but was stopped as the plane landed in Marseille instead for a 'stopover' I think and from Marseille Provence airport, the French authorities assassinated all of the hijackers.

I love travelling by air, I still prefer it over any other system of travel.
Crashes happen, it's inevitable.
I have more trust in a plane than a ship or train.
