 Italy withdraws RAI has decided to don't take part in the next edition of the NVSC. A spokesman of RAI said: 'Our reason to withdraw is our disagreement with the "Big 3" in the 1st edition of this contest and the "Big 5" in the next editions of this contest. Also the fact that the NVSC isn't very popular in Italy and the fact that we aren't in the final of the NVSC 1 has us insured to withdraw of the NVSC. We will only make a come back when we are sure about a nice entry.' |

  The  Austrian broadcaster, ORF, confirms participation for North Vision Song Contest #2 There will be done the Musical Clash of Austria once again for the second edition of NVSC. It's the  Austrian national selection, which collects again all the 9 states of Austria to compete for representing the country. Our previous winner was  Vorarlberg, when Falco Luneau victored with " Rise Above The Night" Now it's time to evaluate which states were to compete once again against eachother for the winning prize. The competing states of Austria are:  Burgenland (Capital: Eisenstadt)  Carinthia (Capital: Klagenfurt)  Lower Austria (Capital: Sankt Pölten)  Salzburg (Capital: Salzburg)  Styria (Capital: Graz)  Tyrol (Capital: Innsbruck)  Upper Austria (Capital: Linz)  Vienna (Capital: Vienna) Vorarlberg (Capital: Bregenz) It will be a final selection, where I will announce one of the Austrian state's artists. Done by announcing them one by one, day after day.  The first artist to be announced will be called in Saturday May 4th 16:00 CET. Then a day after, on same time aswell, the 2nd artist will be announced. When all the artists have been chosen, the songs will then be announced from all of them some day after all the artists have been revealed. ... ... ... It has recently been drawn what Austrian states will be chosen in running order for the current schedule!  1. Carinthia ( Saturday May 4th 16:00 CET) 2. Vienna ( Sunday May 5th 16:00 CET) 3. Styria ( Monday May 6th 16:00 CET) 4. Vorarlberg ( Tuesday May 7th 16:00 CET) 5. Tyrol ( Wednesday May 8th 16:00 CET) 6. Upper Austria ( Thursday May 9th 16:00 CET) 7. Salzburg ( Friday May 10th 16:00 CET) 8. Burgenland ( Saturday May 11th 16:00 CET) 9. Lower Austria ( Sunday May 12th 16:00 CET) ... ... ... To be continued! |

[blue] BREAKING NEWS!!![/blue]  MRT have decided to cancel the national selection "Pesna za Makedonija" due to a lack of funds. Therefore the entry will be an internal selection. The artist will be revealed next week and the song to be revealed a few days after... So stay tuned![/size] |
