[/size][/b][/td][/tr][/table] First of all, the Peter Cornelius we're talking about here is not the  German classical composer of the same name, who died at age 50 in 1874. The  Austrian pop-star Peter Cornelius was born on 29 January 1951 in  Vienna. Like many Austrian performers, Cornelius spent much of his career working in neighboring Germany. In recent years, however, he has spent more time in his homeland, particularly in the state of Lower Austria near Vienna. The singer, guitarist, and composer is still active on the concert circuit, but his heyday was in the seventies and eighties. That was all the Austrian states' representatives.
In the NVSC-subboard, NVSC National selections, I will put up further updates for the Austrian selection, Musical Clash of Austria #2 later today.
The 9 states' artists will be revealing their songs + running order draw will be up on Friday 17th May at late evening.
