I think you have to accept this rule. I mean it was voted by 16:2 (me being 1 of the 2 nos). I knew it is sad if you cant compete anymore, but it is only a online song contest. You could make a new vote but this wouldnt probably change the rule because it was a very clear vote. Take a step back and think about what you have said. This is a point that I've already refuted 3 or so times.

No, I meant: "there wont be good arguments" was a good joke since there will be arguments when the rule is changed again.

I think only 1 rule is right since this all began. It's this rule: "The winner of each edition can have priority over which country he/she wants in the next edition." The names-rule makes me personally very angry and it has 10 yesses and 8 no's, I think that isn't a nice rule at all. Then there's the recerving-rule, there were only 2 no's for it and 16 yesses but I understand why people aren't happy with it. When I read those rule here again, I see not some words like "there'll be too a waitinglist and you have then to wait when someone will withdraw." My suggestion is to only give the winner the priority to choose the country he/she wants, forget the other rules and delete the topic because I think Jessica isn't very happy with the whole discussion in this topic.

Sorry for the extremely late reply, this could be quite a long paragraph. Yes, yesterday I became quite frustrated for a number of reasons. I spoke to Jess about it as she is usually one of the people I talk to about contests in general and I felt like she understood my frustrations. At the time I felt that if I were to reveal my frustrations on the forums, I would say something I was going to regret and I really donโt like losing my temper with people who have actually done nothing wrong. Today Iโm a lot calmer and once again, Iโm sorry itโs taken me a while to reply to your comments When I created this thread, it was supposed to help me understand what everyone wanted to see in the contest; whether itโs new rules, changes to voting, etc. Iโm trying to make everyone happy with the contest. But as some people have said, thatโs impossible as everyoneโs ideal contest is going to be quite different. I totally understand everyoneโs frustration with the new rule; I would feel the same way if I wasnโt able to get a place. But at the same time, it was voted for by a number of participants and I feel like I should at least give the rule a go. I knew it would be a controversial rule at the time But I want to add; not all of these rules have to be permanent. If I feel like this rule isnโt working out and the contest was better off without this rule, it can always been changed back. But letโs at least give it a chance just to see how it works out. This is the โsuggestions/ideasโ thread, not the โpermanent rulesโ thread! Every edition I almost always get at least 3 complaints; whether itโs about places being taken too quickly to me being accused of reserving place/countries for other people. That was the reason why everyone was asked to reserve a place in the comments section of the announcement video, to show that places are given on a โfirst come, first serveโ basis. As much as this contest stresses me out (and donโt get me wrong, thatโs no one elseโs fault but my own), I really do love hosting ISC and Iโm happy that most of you like participating in ISC. I really do appreciate all of your positive comments and your suggestions/ideas. I donโt want to let anyone feel left out or make it seem like I donโt care, because I genuinely do care (and I know that sounds a bit weird as itโs only an online contest). Right now, Iโm trying to think of ways to sort this problem out. Iโve tried to make more places available in the contest without it becoming overcrowded (if I could let everyone participate at the same time then I would). Iโm sorry this rule has upset a few people. Next time Iโll think of a better way to introduce a new rule without if becoming too controversial. I hope you understand
