Did it frighten you, how we kissed when we danced on the light up floor?

- Georgia, Armenia and Ireland got their worst results ever in a final (although they've all failed to qualify in the past, which we consider worse). Slovenia hit last for the first time.
- By finishing second, Azerbaijan has now managed to end 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... and 8th. Will they end 6th and 7th next, and then retire?
- Thanks to Anouk, Bulgaria is now the longest running non-qualifier (6 years).
- As many as 7 countries got less than 20 points in the final, a much higher number than any year since 2004.
- Valentina Monetta became the first artist to fail to qualify twice to the Eurovision final. On the positive note, she once again broke her country's highest ever result record.
- Songs titled "You and Me" tend to finish in the bottom five of their first heat (Not only Joan and Takasa, this also goes for "Jij en ik" and "Echo (You and I)"). You now know how not to name your song.
- Just like last year, two countries tied with 71 points.
- Ryan Dolan achieved the lowest final score ever for a song that qualified from a semifinal. The previous record was held by Tooji. Perhaps it's no coincidence that Dolan qualified from the smallest semifinal ever.
- Estonia and Lithuania maintain having the same fate in the semis (either both qualify or neither) since the two-semi system began.
- The last time Denmark won (in 2000), Malta also came 8th, France also came 23rd, and the United Kingdom also sent an adult woman who had previously charted with "Total Eclipse of the Heart".
- The Icelandic language has a 100% qualification record (1996 included). Take a note, Bulgaria!
