You think so? As you can imagine I wouldn't be much sad if it qualifies but of course I'd be very happy. Yeah, country songs are mostly appreciated in western European countries. With a good live performance I expect a final qualification for Switzerland this year. Thank you so much. I appreciate this. On the radio I heard yesterday that our chances aren't that high because Switzerland isn't that important (politics) and people(including Germans and Austrians) don't know many things about it.

Radio? Mostly the Eurovision Song Contest is here as well on television and radio and people are writing and telling several things. Every year they organize a kind of warming up program before the Eurovision Song Contest starts here and then they invite some random musicians and well-known Dutch people to give their own opinions about the Dutch entry and some other entries. Last year there was a guy who expected Latvia to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. That means, mostly social media isn't that serious and known with the Eurovision Song Contest.

Here ESC isn't that popular. Many people want Switzerland to withdraw but our national TV said that won't happen. During these days I'm reading some things at the newspaper and hearing on the radio. I remember in 2012 the newspaper failed. ESC was called "European Song Contest" there.

When we didn't do that well in the Eurovision Song Contest from 2005 until 2012, people wanted The Netherlands to withdraw as well but we simply didn't because we believed in ourselves. Nowadays we qualificated 2 times in a row for the final in the Eurovision Song Contest which is pretty awesome and made the interest in the Eurovision Song Contest in The Netherlands grown much more. Switzerland is almost one of my favourite countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. In at least the past 6 years you always sent heart warming entries which I probably always placed somewhere in my top 15. Last year Switzerland was even my personal winner.

I only like 2008, 2011 and 2013. 2011 was the only year I liked our song immediately and didn't change my opinion. In 2012 I didn't like it first, then I liked it, then i didn't like it again(short time before ESC), then it tunrned again 2x. In 2013 I was first unsure about it, then I disliked it, very long time but nowadays I like it. This years song was one of my favourites in our preselection and I voted for it in the poll. At the moment I don't like it that much but I also don't hate it. Our ESC-artists are almost never known. The only exception is Anna Rossinelli. She's quite popular nowadays. Her first album charted on #10 and the second one on #1 and the official Swiss Theme song for the Olympic Games was also sung by her (#4 in Single Charts). The other 3 songs after her weren't that successful. They were only 1-2 weeks in top 75, left and never came back. Our last years artists released an album but it didn't reached top 100 (#100 = around 200 purchased CD's)

It deserved to go through to the finals. 2010 was an interesting entry to be honest. It wasn't that good live but with 2 points it was much too underrated. 2011 was a sweet entry and in my opinion it deserved to qualifiy for the final. 2012 was very awesome. I love that kind of rock and it should've reached the top 5 in the final. Much too underrated, even if it wasn't perfect live. 2013 was a kind of masterpiece! It's hateful how the EBU wanted them to get off their band name and clothing. In that case the "special effect" was gone. 2014 sounds very happy and welcomed as well and I'll hold my fingers crossed for a final qualification for Switzerland this year.

MY EUROVISION-TRIP Like last year, a fantastic moment of my life! Though I felt more.... home, this time! I really got a nice meeting with all the other ESC-fans and talked a lot to them! So polite, but crazy and wild as well! MY VLOG throughout the arena! Now you can witness what I sound like as I semi-vlogged my way to the arena!A few more pics:I found that funny you could buy Cheesecake to eat Though i preferred eating Tiramisu for dessert and 2x Wrap Tandoori Chickens for Dinner (I'm blue da ba dee da ba dei)This is the last picture I'll comment about, which is also why I'll add the biggest text for this for saving the best till the last. I've never been so exhausted in my entire life. I sang along for every songs that were performed, and I kinda shouted way too much for my lungs to endure lol, but I just couldn't help it! I could remember I screamed "WHAAAT?!" and "IS THIS REAL?!" when San Marino qualified, I shouted "BRAVO!" when Sergej finished his performance with his entry. It was really fantastic how that floor worked throughout the songs, it wasn't really visible just from the rehearsals. Also Iceland and Armenia qualified, which I was so happy about!! I cheered for them all the way through their way back to Green Room hehe As it was told before, our Bosnian exchange student's favorite was Montenegro. And she was so happy on the singer's ways to finally manage a final qualification for the country, even though only a few Balkan countries are participating this year! My dad's favorites were Portugal and Ukraine. He felt very disappointed for Azerbaijan's qualification. It was nowhere near his cup of tea. Same for Belgium, though it did not qualified whatsoever.
One thing was really important to have earned that experience. Make sure you'll be 100% enthusiastic when coming to the place! It's a paradise, and it's a MUST for everyone who have at least just a small love for ESC. It's guaranteed you'll feel welcomed for your adventure with all these - I say it again - polite and crazy people around! And, really, I feel so sorry if you haven't experienced this ESC-adventure yourself. Save up your money for this, you'll indeed find a temporary pleasant home for you!

Today in school I finally talked with friends of mine who were not Eurovision haters. One of them is from Kosovo, the other from Romania. (Omg I am so non-racist) Both are watching it, and the Romanian one did not even know "Miracle". I showed her and she was stunned of the song & rehearsal.
