 NRK begin the search, for Margaret's successor.
After a very successful year with Margaret Berger, NRK really have high hopes on what the future could bring.
There have been talks about NRK not having semi finals, in the 2014 edition of 'MGP' but nothing is for certain as of yet.
Submissions are open until 15th September 2013, to submit a song to NRK.
In charge of selecting the songs, for 2014 is musical expert Vivi Stenberg who went on to say...“I want good songs that reflect the music genres we like to listen to in Norway. I hope to be surprised so please think up something new and exciting”, she encourages. We will endeavor to tell more of a story around those who are participating so that the viewers can become much better acquainted with whoever is standing on stage and the individual entries. It is going to be very exciting but at the same time scary to make changes to something that has existed for over 50 years. We approach this task with reverence but that just makes it even more fun!” Norway have no plans of withdrawing, even with the preliminary final date currently clashing with the Norwegian national holiday.Article |

 Herning Out of the race too?Andre Rieu is booked for the 15th May 2014, to play with his classical orchestra in Herning. Pretty much kicking away Eurovision. This could put Herning out of the running. |

Fuck! I hate André Rieu! He's one of the most overrated & most boring artists of  our country. He's always at television shows at 31 December (night) but I don't want his boring music at that moment or so.  And now he stopped a new host city for the ESC... thanks, dick.  |
