Well...here's my review for
all the songs of the final
:
Ukraine - A nice catchy uptempo song, which was quite ruined by a silly staging IMO (still don't get that "hamster wheal" really
). I'd place it somewhere around 15th place, but I'm sure it'll be in Top 10.
Belarus - Very catchy and funny, I like it since the beginning. I'd have prefered something more ambitious for the performance but anyway I'm glad he passed. I would integrate him in The Top 15 but I don't know how it'll be hosted
by the juries.
Azerbaijan - Many people find it boring, and... I have to say that I disagree ! I find the song extremely beautiful and I enjoyed her live on Tuesday. Although there are much better tracks in the final, so I'd place it below the Top 15, but it's another sure Top 10 this time too.
Iceland - It's a very interesting entry for sure, they were worth qualifying. However, the live didn't have as much "emotion" as in studio version, something was missing for me. Not one of my faves anymore, and I bet they won't reach the Top 20 unfortunately :/
Norway - He was great, the whole staging was too, but I lost interest with time and it's not one of the very best for me anymore. It still deserves Top 10 nevertheless, and I think it's what he'll get.
Romania - Grew on me since yesterday
Still not one of the best of course, but it has potential to reach the Top 10 tomorrow.
Armenia - My favourite for a long time. The live performance left me a little cold but it's worth to reach Top 5 easily.
Montenegro - A very beautiful, sweet and cute balkan ballad. I wish it finishes in the Top 20, but I'm not sure
Poland - Since a certain person (
) made me discover it through his charts, this song hasn't stopped growing on me <33 The performance yesterday was amazing, and I really say shut up to all who say it's offensive against girls: it totally deserves a placde among the best for me. However, it will finish somewhere at the middle at best I'm afraid
Greece - They gave a show full of energy; very powerful song, that will bring
Greece to another Top 10, without any doubt.
Austria - THE BEST PERFORMANCE I SAW SO FAR <33 She was really a queen this night, you can be homophobian, it's impossible to be cold to such an interpretation. I'm glad it's high in the Betting Odds, and I really hope for a Top 5 placing
Germany - The song itself leaves me a little indifferent, but they are a great band and they have a very original track. The dark horse ?
Sweden - A song totally in Eurovision format, again... I think it's too easy.
Sweden is sure to take a Top 5 place with it, although I wouldn't place it higher than Top 15. I enjoyed a lot her singing though.
France - Well... I hoped we would sing later, because it might have helped us... the song is one of the favourites for the Bottom 6, and I understand why. I'm not a fan of the song myself either but I totally support them and I wish they break the curse
Russia - I decided not to be a hater anymore. The booing wasn't fair, even though it's really boring to see they qualify whatver they send (they didn't even find the interest to make a NS ! ). Neither the song or the performance really touched me, but I think it'll end around 15th place like
Ukraine in 2012 or
Georgia in 2013.
Italy - This is amazing
One of my favourites because of the singer, but also the lyrics that I loved. But I have the feeling that she'll bring
Italy their first Non-Top 10 placement since their return :/ .
Slovenia - Love the flute parts
The song is really mistical too, I hope it reaches Top 15.
Finland - They were great on stage, but that'll be one of the weakest songs of the night. I think neither the jury or the public will really help them unfortunately...
Spain -
Spain singing in English... well, the song is very unspecial and weak (unlike Quedate conmigo in the same genre) and I hope it won't be overrated because there are much better entries in the final. Good luck anyway
Switzerland - Very sweet, catchy and enjoyable ; I hope he'll be understood

Hungary - A really professionalist song. Top 5 or Top 10 for sure, and he'll deserve it
Malta - The song is cute, they did a nice and enjoyable performance, nothing more interesting for me. Anyway they deserve Top 20
- I bet this will finish in the Top 10 ; really love the Bruno Mars vibe, but this hasn't really a place among the favourites in my opinion
Hope for a good result nevertheless
The Netherlands - They gave the second best performance Tuesday. I'm really happy they're high in the Betting Odds, and I really wish they end well because it would definitely be a proof that politics don't decide everything in the contest.
San Marino - Again, CONGRATULATIONS for reaching the final. She's worth more than a Bottom 6 place, and it would be great if she got a decent placing ; "it's very important" for her
United Kingdom - Not the best draw they could get I think ; the song was nevertheless my favourite for a long time too, and I'm sure she'll give an awesome performace (unlike Bonnie last year). One of the best candidates for The Top 5

OVERALL: An extremely strong final, with no bad songs. I would be happy whoever the winner is, and I hope
we'll get a decent result finally
