It has been argued that the songs the UK sends for Eurovision are to gather a big audience for the final, rather than to get a good placing. Not have an automatic qualification could give the BBC a kick in the bum to stop sending people who were relevant 20-0 years ago.
The UK should send something in Welsh ;D

I agree, usually a lot of juries tend to screw over more modern and dancy songs, in favor of ballads and stuff. |

I think they should make a rule where a country can't vote for whatever country it borders with ...
That way, people might actually vote for the song and not the name of a country
