I have the same feelings. I wish their is a rule against borrowing from USA. It's so annoying to see Lady Gaga for Canada. Is she even Canadian or is it her great great uncle? It's not only American artists that represent other countries. Stromae represents Rwanda. But Stromae is 50% Rwandaese (I don't know if this is the word ) and so this is niot like Lady Gaga and Canada

This reminds me of the talk from last edition's Semi-Finals-thread, where I put up the idea of a joker edition of this topic And 50% is not crazy enough, because it's a clearer sign of approval to let the artist represent the other country. However, using Taylor Swift for Singapore. Well, you gotta have that in admission for THAT craziness!

If it's just a far place, where in the past/present time (crazier from past), the artist has resided there, then itself tells how to be a reliable entrant for the joker edition
