Ireland is already directly through for this edition, the direct qualification will count for the first edition to come in which Ireland will not be directly through. This will not affect the rest of the contest, the final of that edition will just have 28 finalists instead of 27. Of course the direct qualification comes along with a safe spot for that edition.
