I'm living in Oberhausen, Northrhine-Westphalia
It's a medium sized city. Sadly, we're the city with the most debts in our state of NRW
But I love Oberhausen anyway
Oberhausen is located in the west, very close to the border
of The Netherlands. We are in the middle of
the famous "Ruhrpott" (Translated like... Ruhr Valley or sth )

There are a lot of tourists from The Netherlands coming to our
town because we have the biggest shopping mall in whole Europe
(No, that's not why we are in debt )
This is the "CentrO" (The Shopping Mall)
You have to know that on the place of the CentrO, there was
a big company for coal. Since coal became "outdated", the company
was closed. It has been destroyed and from the leftovers, the CentrO,
our arena and our main Bus Stop had been built!
But the most famous building in Oberhausen is the "Gasometer"!
It's a remain of the old company I told of. It has been used
to store gas. Now (believe it or not) it's a museum, and for 5€
you can climp up the 592 stairs up to 117 meters height
(or take the elevator lol). You can also visit the inside of the
tower, where - every year - the 'type' of museum changes.
Two years ago, there have been planets and on the inside
there was a massive moon-statue. Last year, inside the tower
they built a massive tree. This time there's a record-construction
of a famous artist. It's quite cool to see
Here you can see all the districts, Oberhausen is divided in
I'm living in the region "Sterkrade-Mitte", in the center of the town.
My school is in "Schmachtendorf". You have to know that you
only need half an hour to drive through the whole city
It's not big but not very small
I hope you liked my small introduction to my hometown
I was very bored and I love to write texts.
Thanks for reading, hope it was interesting
