The Daily News Hello, I'm Mark Schfunerz and I'm here to present the RTL.lu Daily News. Yesterday evening, a 17-years old boy was found dead in his own house, police now investigates about the case, but they are considering the fact the teen could have committed suicide because of problems with his girlfriend [...] Now let's pass to other news for you,
Luxembourgers and RTL are very disappointed about the results of the first semifinal aired in Beirut. People are arguing about a further participation in Northvision and they are also claiming that a new Head of Delegation has to be introduced in the RTL Team. In this case, our dear reporter Melinda Goofy has some fresh news for us!
Yes Mark, as you said, people around are very angry on here because of the results. Eternal Tango failed in the Semifinal, but yet, no detailed results are available. There were a lot of people who also claimed that Luxembourg should still carry on, because it's normal to fail sometimes, but yet, they want changes in the current system, calling for the Head of Delegation to be fired and replaced. RTL has also reported that the interest in the contest is a disaster and has decreased in a very bad way, as the TV ratings were in general at 14%, with a positive peak of 26,8% when countries such as Luxembourg itself, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, United Kingdom and Cyprus were performing, but also a negative peak of only 3,2% during the interval acts, other performances and after the qualifiers were announced. In the last editions, the share for Northvision in Luxembourg used to be very high with 72% in Northvision 5 and 58% in Northvision 4. Also, another source of disappointment is that RTL spent a lot of money in ads for NVSC in the local televisions, in order to prevent rating disasters such as the ones of the last evening, but unfortunately it didn't work. The executive chairman of RTL has stated that a decision about Luxembourg in the next edition of Northvision Song Contest, is yet to be made. Back to you Mark,
for RTL, Melinda Goofy.

Ríkisútvarpið (RÚV) announced tonight that Iceland will be taking part in the Northvision Song Contest #7, but that's not all. A budget of 520.810€ was allocated in order to pay the National Selection that will be held for the seventh edition, and other campaigns about Northvision. Most of the Icelandic people lost the interest in the competition, but everything will be done in order to make all awesome for viewers, internally, by hosting talk-shows and airing news about Northvision. A new logo for NVSC events in Iceland was made, and you can see it right above.
More infos about the upcoming National Selection to come later on the next days. It is expected to kick-off on January.
