 Liechtenstein confirms! 1FLTV officially confirmed that Liechtenstein
will join the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
"North Vision has reached a high standard in our country.
Since our debut, we have high viewing figures. Also the
North Vision Fanbase is quite big in Liechtenstein.
It is a pleasure for us to be a part of this competition!"

Also the head of delegation of Liechtenstein stated in
a twitter post, that the Liechtensteinese NS will make
a comeback this edition. It is thought to be a series
of National Selection for the upcoming editions, too. |

  Kazakh news - December 26, 2013 Venue for NS selectedNTK-TV has picked the venue for the Kazakh national selection, Жүректің Қазақстаны - the venue will be the Kazakhstan Sport Palace, in Astana, Kazakhstan. The seating capacity for the venue will be 5,532 and the show is expected to be broadcasted to at least 500,000 people in Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan and to the international viewers over the internet. The arena was built in 2001 and was last renovated in 2007, it usually hosts sporting events, mainly hockey.
 Kazakh fanbaseNTK-TV has also been trying to build up the Kazakh fanbase for NVSC in the last couple of days by massive advertising, the campaign has been successful as 55,000 people have already signed up on the new NVSC section on the NTK-TV website, with numbers changing each minute. NTK-TV's viewing figures have grown by 2.2% in the last week.Petition for NTK-TVSome Kazakh people have started a petition for NTK-TV to make latin-script Kazakh more important than Russian during the National selection and NVSC shows. NTK-TV has yet to make a statement. The petition has ~2,000 supporters at the moment. |

 The Maltese broadcaster PBS and the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR are against the decision of the NBU,
that both broadcasters lose their right to add up to 50% foreign artists to their National Selections.
The broadcasters demand, that the new rule will be canceled, because it was decided without asking PBS and SRG SSR.
They are also very angry that they heard the new information through media and not by the NBU.
They reserve the right to take further action. |
