Some artists called Martin Harich, Andrea Bučko and Layla have shown an interest in competing in the NVSC. Bringing more original songs to the contest to improve Slovakia's chances.

The Twiins said in an interview that they might be interested in trying for the Northvision again. In the interview they said "We may have failed in the Eurovision but the Northvision seems to be a less political contest that gives points to the song not the country. We feel more confident because of this." |

Slovakia will not be shortening the list of songs to 5 but will keep the current system saying it gives the voters a good choice of songs. The producers said that "the next national selection will be the best ever and all the songs could be a potential qualifier." |

Ps the national selection will not start until the end of the edition and Slovakia will not be one of the first countries to announce their entry.

The Czech singer Lucie Bila has shown interest in the Northvision and it may be for Slovakia because she has done many shows in Bratislava. |

The singer Mamba Dasha has been rumored to compete for the chance to sing for Slovakia but the singer hasn't said anything about this. Maybe she will say something later on today.
This singer competed in both superstar and the first series of factor and we hope that she does well in the future. |

After hearing the news about Dominika Mirgova getting through to the finals in the Northvision Song Contest, the people have been partying to congratulate the singer from our small republic. We got to talk to a random Slovak lady and she said this...
"People all over the place have been partying all night and every bar or club I go to are shouting her name. I'm so happy for her and I'm massive fan of her. Me and my family have a party every year while watching show so I'm going to do the same this year. I'll probably buy all the booze from my local shop."
We got to talk to our victorious singer dominika mirgova,
Interviewer: How do you feel about qualifying?
Dominika: At first when I was nervous while watching all the other countries qualifying but when I heard my country mentioned I just burst out in tears. It was so.... embarrassing but I'm just so happy. I love my country and I just hope that I'll do well.
Interviewer: Can you win this?
Dominika: Well, I honestly don't know.... theres a great list of songs and I just want to do as well as I can. I hope to get on the left side of the board or in the top 5.
Interviewer: Thank you for talking to us and the whole country is supporting you and we all love you. |

The Slovakian National Selection is one of the highest rated shows in Slovakia and the popularity of the national selection has caught the interest of some more artists. The people who run the national selection promises to include more genres of music such as electronic, Folk and indie rock music. Rap music has ben banned because it gives out the "wrong message and encourages violence because it related to gangs".
Some of the groups that have shown interest are Fallgrapp, Mafia corner and Lavagance. |
