I'm surprised to hear all this too. But I'm old enough to understand, why this was done.  mimisthesc &  ferrygraf are teenagers, if I understand right, right (Sorry, if I'm wrong)? Teenagers are unpredictable and they always do something stupid just to have fun, but that moment they just don't realize what consequence this may have. But  hongarius is a 20 year old guy, who should have stopped this! He's old enough to understand, that this wasn't right, but I guess he didn't. I hope he will now. You can cheat on school tests (even if it's not right too), but cheating with other people wasn't right, even if it was just as a joke. If this really was meant as a joke, it should've stopped in a week or two. But it didn't. So I agree with @hvdstrcbcbr that Hannes should take the heaviest punishment from all these 3 guys, because he was the oldest one and, if I'm right, he was the author of this "joke". And I mean the punishment as a warning, not as a ban. Everyone has done or will do something stupid in their life - and that's not wrong, because we're all people and mistakes is a part of our life. So I think everyone deserves the 2nd chance - if they are intelligent enough, they won't do the same mistake again. But if they do, then they deserve ban or any big enough punishment, to finally understand, what they've done. P.S. For admins (@hvdstrcbcbr, Jess and others) I suggest to check all IP's if there isn't any cheater left and delete accounts like @evickaczechgurl. And then check IP's to every new account here, that registers, to escape this kinda situation again.  P.S.S. I know Mimis and Florian good enough, to say that they're nice guys. They just made their mistake, and now they understand the consequence. I think we should end this conversation! Wishing everyone a great day!  |

mimisthesc & ferrygraf Please don't quit forums only because of this. When I started using forums, I was accused for cheating in my own contest too. I think a lot of users hated me then even that wasn't the truth, but that's past now and I don't want to speak about it. What I mean was - you can earn people's trust by doing good things, even if they hate you at the begining. Like I did - I think I'm not "that hated" now than I was then

I never thought this would cause and end up in such a huge drama, as mentioned 1000x before, it was a mistake, but we didn't commit a crime or something, at least in my opinion. And obviously it's important to point out again, that Evicka was never in any connection with WWWSC or ASC! Our contests are free of fake accounts. Apart from that, we calmed the whole story a lot down in the last weeks and months, I cannot remember Evicka being active here on the forum in the last months. That made me even more surprised it came out exactly now. It's too late and I'm also glad it's revealed, but I believe it should have been done in private at first. Already the title of this thread totally ruins Hannes' image, he doesn't deserve this. We all make mistakes, and I'm shocked how intensive some people reacted here who never dealt with Evicka at all. As last, people who don't believe me or Mimis and think WWWSC is a "cheating contest", I'm sorry that you got this impression and beg you to contact me or Mimis personally, so we can sort this out together. |

The point is, the reason why people are saying court etc is because what you 4 did is technically against the law and from my perspective as a teacher, this could also classed as cyberbullying, taking a picture of someone (in this case Petra?) and impersonating her to make peers laugh

If I didn't really make it clear, I suggest that we forgive the 4 for what they did and I as a player in the contest managed by mimisthesc and ferrygraf would love to stay if they decide to keep it going.
I assure everyone out there that those guys have done everything to ensure that the WWW Song Contest is true and fair. As far as I can tell, they reached out to the players in person and the WWWSC obviously has a large community of active players.
If they're forced to shut it down, it would be a heavy blow to the well-founded castle they've built by hand. Let's not do this to them.
The guys have owned up everything and said sorry. Lesson's been learned. And after all it was not devastating. We need to turn a new page. |
