The Acts:

The Head of the Icelandic Delegation has chosen 5 acts (among 32 submitted songs) to perform on stage. One of those five acts will represent

Iceland in the Northvision Song Contest #7.

The Voting Method:

Online Voting: A poll will be set on the voting thread where people will be able to vote for 1 song out of 5. At the end, a rank will be made and points will be given from 1 for the last ranked, 2 for the 4th ranked, and so on until the 1st ranked who gets 5 points.

Televoting: Viewers have the possibility to vote for their favourite songs with Text Messages. Each user has 10 text messages available. He must vote using those messages, and no condition is applied. (ex. 3 Votes to Song Number 1, 2 Votes to Song Number 2, 0 Votes to Song Number 3, 4 Votes to Song Number 4 and 1 Vote for Song Number 5...) You can do every combination you want. At the end, the same final rank for televotes will be done and will mix up with the rank of the poll results.

(In the poll everyone can vote, even if you already voted as televoters or judges)

Jury Voting: A jury panel will give marks to the songs and at the end, a rank will be made that is gonna mix up with the rank of the televoters and of the poll results.

Well, the song I made wasn't really made for the Selection, but a bunch of friends of mine told me "Hey, let's give it a try", and I did. I never expected to be one of the lucky cards of this event, but I hope I'll get through and make Iceland qualify in Northvision

Daniel Lengfeld

Söngvakeppnin is my biggest chance to get into the North Vision Song Contest.

I'll try to represent Iceland in the best way I can. I want to make

the Icelandic country proud and happy!

Winning Söngvakeppnin could mean being one of the most well-known bands in your country, at least here. Our dream was always to be on a huge stage, representing the people you love.

Of Monsters And Men

We think that Iceland needs a band like us. We're proud to be Icelandic, and we brought Icelandic music outside our borders. We already experienced Northvision and think we can improve our latest placement in the contest. But it's up to people and judges!

Unnur Eggerts

Music is my life. Everytime I sing, I remember about the beautiful moments that me and my mom were having when I was young. She taught me to be the person I am today and I'm grateful for that. Winning Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins would be the right chance to thank her, and everyone who supports me in the competition. If I'll win, I'll promise I'll do everything possible to bring a great place to Icelandic people!
